Chapter 12 Search for Seiryuu

Yuri rested her head on Yona's shoulder as Hak and Kija bickered. It all started when Hak called Kija, 'Shirohebi-sama[1]' In the end, Yona moved to them, smacking them in the chins. "Quiet down." she said. "We're going on a journey together so stop fighting."

"I apologize, himesan." Kija said sadly.

"Hak, this is Kija's first time outside outside and he's nervous, so don't tease him." Yona said. Turning to Kija, who was about to object, she said, "Kija, teasing is Hak's hobby, so don't take it personally."

"Hobby?" Hak mused.

Yoon called, "Let's go already."

"Okay!" Yona said, running over. Yuri stood up, dusting off her dress.

Following her sister, Yuri grabbed her bow and arrows and chased after Yoon.

In attempt to find Seiryuu, Kija had fallen into a pit full of bugs and was now... once again bickering with Hak.

"So the dragon god's weaker than bugs." Hak mused.

"T-that's not it! I just don't like crawly slimy creatures!" Kija said, waving his hands in the air, trying to defend himself. "My power was given by the proud Hakuryuu. Not some power of an ordinary human."

"Oh, another centipede." Hak lied.

Kija cried out, "Ahhh!" as he tried to swat it off of him.

"Well, it doesn't really matter. I'm not going to rely on some dusty ancient power."

"What?! Do you wanna try it out right now then?!

It looked like they were going fight before Hak moved in front of Yuri and Yona. "Himesan, go hide."

"Hak?" Yona asked.

"What's wrong, Kija?" Yoon asked.

Kija turned and looked. "Someone's coming."

"Who's someone?" Yoon asked.

"A whole bunch of them." Hak replied.

"Their footsteps are not really elegant." Kija responded.

"This is bad!" Yoon cried out. "We're still in Fire tribe territory!"

Yuri didn't hear anything except Rena. In her head, 'Yuri. Seiryuu needs you soon...'

Her blinked as Yona and Yoon were talking to her, "Yuri? Yuri? Are you okay?"

A hand grabbed her. She felt something against her neck. Yuri didn't remember much after that. She just remember entering darkness.

Yuri followed Rena down a path.

"Rena? Where are we right now?" Yuri asked, turning to look around her.

Rena spoke softly, "We're visiting Seiryuu."

Yuri's eyes widened. "But what happened to the others?"

"You are the Douryuu. Only you can come to this realm as a human, remember?" she reminded her.

Yuri blinked and nodded. "Oh..." They walked down a path and through a maze. "Here." Rena said. Pointing at the wall. Yuri cocked her head in confusion. "What?"

Rena pressed her hand against the wall and fell through. Yuri hurried after. They wandered some more before entering a dark cave. Rena motioned to the room. "This is the land of Seiryuu. Gather your courage. You'll need it." and they disappeared from that world.
