The Trouble With Frittles

*~~*-Swellview Junior High-*~~*

 "Hey, what's going on here--" Henry began as he walked into the school, everyone jumping and cheering for the frittles but got cut off as he was impaled on the forehead with a can. Falling to the ground and getting up with a grunt.

"O-Okay, alright--who shot me in the face with this frittle can!" Henry picked the can up and held it in the air dramatically.

"Stop whining!" Miss Shapen stared at him weirdly before going back to cheer the frittle men up. "Hey Miss Shapen. What's going on!" Jasper called out to her. "Ooh, everyone--turn on the Swellview News!" She started, everyone going quiet and grabbing their ipads or phones. 

"Now come on, let's go hit the teacher's lounge!" Miss Shapen called out to the two guys. "Yeahh, teacher's lounge!" They cheered and ran off. Henry walked over to Jasper and Charlotte and looked down at the ipad.

"Trent?"

"Thanks, Mary. Ragin' Red Rhubarb or Bodacious Blue Bacon." Trent stared at the camera with a smile. "Which will win the contest and become Frittle's official new flavor? To explain, let's go live to the Frittle Factory."

"Hi!" The screen changed to Mr. Frittleman. "Oh, keep going? We're giving out free samples of the two new flavors all over Swellview. And next tuesday people can go online to Frittles.com and vote for the flavor you think should win." 

With that, the news ended and the school bell rang.

"Oohhh, man." Henry's face lit up as he tasted the Bodacious Blue Bacon chips. "This Bodacious Blue Bacon is amazing." He pointed at the can in Charlotte's hands and picked it up. 

"Hmm, yeah but, there is something awesome about the Ragin' Red Rhubarb." Jasper cut in, nodding as he glanced down at his red can. 

"Char, Which one are you gonna vote for?" Henry asked as he took a red chip from Jasper's can.

"Neither. I dont have time to vote for some dumb corn chip" She scoffed putting the lid back on Henry's Bodacious Blue Bacon can and walking past.

"What?!?"

"Charlotte!"

"Yo, people died for your right to vote. online" Henry and Jasper followed after her and watched as she turned to face them. She rolled her eyes and walked off, not wanting anything to do with this. 

"Mmm. I am definitely voting for the Ragin' Red Rhubarb." Jasper nodded at his can of frittles and Henry turned to face him. "Ah, all right" Henry nodded, his face unsure as he glanced down once again at his frittle can.

"Nah, nah. I think i'm gonna with the, uh, Bodacious Blue Bacon. Its pretty good." Henry popped a chip in his mouth and looked at Jasper who's face intently stared at him before turning away.

"What?" Henry watched Jasper turn away in confusion.

"Nothing."

"Jasper--"

"I don't wanna talk about it." Jasper cut him off and walked off to his locker. "Oh, come on. You're mad at me? Just 'cuz i support a different flavor than you?" Henry's voice was full of disbelief and confusion as he chased his bestfriend.

"I'm not mad at you." Jasper closed his locker with a sigh and turned to face Henry. Speaking and then walking off "I'm disappointed. And a little mad."

"Hey Schwoz, what's the scoop. Ha ha" Ray walked out of the sprocket and down the stairs, chuckling at himself and popping a Ragin' Red Rhubarb chip into his mouth.
