"He was crying when they brought him back," she says. I go to the front desk and ask them where Gavin was. They tell me the room and we all head there. "Gavin," I say see him sitting in a corner. I put Sarah down. He looks up at me and gives me a hug. He had bruises on his face. "What happened?" I ask. He just cries into my shoulder. This is unacceptable, we head back down to the front desk. "Excuse me," I say pissed off. "How can I help you?" the lady says. "First you can start off by telling me what happened to him?" I question.

The lady explains that the family that adopted him had issues and they had to take him back before they could do anymore harm. "I want to adopt these two," I tell her. "Sorry, Sarah was adopted and is getting picked up later on," she says. I sigh looking down at Sarah sad eye. You have to be kidding me. I take a deep breath because honestly I was ready to explode. I put my fingers through my hair frastuarted. "How's adopting her?" I question. "Um... Kareem Jamar and his wife," he states. Why did that name sound so firmalar, but I couldn't recall where I had heard it from.

I look at Yasmin who looked confused by what is going on. I should probably talked to her before adopting. "Can get adopting papers for Gavin for now?" I ask her. "We need your information first," she gives me a form. We sit down at a table and Alia was playing with Gavin and Sarah. "These are the kids you were talking about?"Yasmin asks. "Yeah... it's crazy I wanted to adopt both of them," I say putting my fingers through my hair trying to figure this out.

The door to the orphanage opens and I see someone that I haven't seen in years. "Give me a second," I tell Yasmin. She just nods. I walk up to the couple. "Chris?" I say questionably. He looked a bit like Chris but with a bread. "Tarik?" he says. "It's been forever," we give each other a hug as we salaam each other. "What are you doing here?" I ask him.

"Just here to pick up the little girl we are adopting," he smiles looking at his wife. "No way... you're Kareem Jamar?" I ask rising my eyebrows. He smiles "I told you in high school i'll change my name to that." That explains a lot, that's why it sounded firmalar. "So, you're adopting Sarah," I say sadly. "Yup, that's the plan," he smiles looking at his wife.

"This is my wife Zaynab," he introduces. "Salaam," I greet her. She smiles and responds. "That's my wife over there," I say. "Yasmin, wow congrats bro," he says. I didn't know what he meant by wow. "Please take good care of Sarah... she means a lot and to know that great will be taking care of her just means a lot," I tell him. "Thank you brother... and of course we will take great care of her," he says. We salaam each other and I head back to where I was sitting.

Yasmin was gone. I look around for and see she was talking to a little girl, I always see that little girl but she never talked to anyone, I tried once she just ignored me. It was shocking to see her talking to Yasmin, I could tell she really liked her.

I give Sarah a hug and a kiss on the cheek before she leaves. "Bye Tha," she says tears filling her eyes. "Bye Sarah," I say. "You really love that little girl," Yasmin

says standing next to me. "Yeah, I knew her since she got in her as a baby," I tell her. "How old is she?" she questions. "Only 4," I tell her. "What about him?" she questions pointing to Gavin. "He's six," I say.

"How about her?" I ask pointing to the little girl she was talking to. She turns and looks at the little girl then looks at me. "Dunya, she's eight," she smiles. "You know that girl never talked to anyone," I tell her. She glances back at her. "I guess she just likes me," Yasmin says with a smile. She turns to me "Her parents were killed and she was scared and she's also shy," she tells me her face serious. I stare at her disbelief. "I told her... I would adopt her and I won't let anyone that would hurt her come near her," she says looking down. I lift her head so she can look at me. "You're a good person," I smile.
