"I would have been the first married boy in the family if that Jane or should I say Jamala," Ahmed laughs. I stare at him confused. "They are coming today... if you'd like to meet them... you guys can stay... They could be here anytime," my dad says. I sigh, maybe I should give her... maybe Khalil was right she changed. I need to stop judging her what she did in her past. I glance at Tarik who was not even listening. I tap on him. He looks up at me and rise my eyebrows. "Sorry," he mumbles. "We'd love to meet them," I then say to my dad which brings a smile to his face,
"Meet who?" Tarik asks when my dad leave. I just laugh at his cluelessness. He was so cute when he was confused. "Khalil's fiancée," I tell him. He still looked confused and I just didn't bother to explain because the doorbell rings. The family walks in and I see jane wearing a hijab, she salaams us and sits down besides her mom and dad along with her little brother. My Dad and Mom walk in. Everyone else was outside. Salaam my parents say as they sit down.
Jane stares at me shocked trying to figure out who I was. "I'm so sorry," she then says. Her parents look at her shocked but no one but me understood what she was talking about. "I forgive you," I mumble. Khalil walks in and he was blushing. I laugh because I never seen my brother blush. He mumbles his salaam.
"Who is she?" Jane's mom asks my parents. "That's my daughter Yasmin," my dad says. "How old is she?" the mom asks. Why was she asking questions about me. "22?" my mom says questionly. "I have a son that 23, it's Jane's twin," she then says. We all look at her shocked. "I'm married," I state looking at Tarik who looked uncomfortable. "Oh... I'm sorry I thought he was your son too," she says embarrassed looking at the ground. I couldn't help but laugh. Tarik just looks at me and force myself to stop.
"So... we wanted to work more on the planning," Jane's dad says. "Yes, of course," my dad says. They continue talking but everytime Khalil tried to talk he got tongue time and it was so adorable. Both Tarik and me started laughing and tried to make serious faces, Jane was trying to keep from laughing but she accidently laughed and she snorted and Tarik and me broke out laughing and couldn't control it. Jane was so embarrassed. My mom told us to dismiss yourself which we were still laughing. We go to the backyard to say bye to everyone before we head out to pick up the kids.
