"Oh my god, you are the most annoying person I've ever had the displeasure of knowing."
AJ's face instantly twisted in pure disgust when the words came from her sister's mouth. She was practically dripping in anger, and she knew if they kept this up she would end up saying something she regretted. It was a shame she was stubborn as a mule and neither of their parents were home to stop them sooner.
"Well, I'd take being annoying over a conniving thief anyday." AJ retorted, crossing her arms. She'd had to put up with her sister taking her things without her permission for the past 16 years, and she was way past over it.
Parker scoffed and disinterestedly observed her nails. "I don't see what the big deal is. It's just a dress."
"Yeah, Parker, just a dress I spent nearly $200 for my graduation, and for what? Just so you can take it and wear it to a party and somehow manage to get beer spilt all over it! And then you try and put it back like I won't notice! Who the fuck does that?"
If Parker was at all fazed by AJ's words, she didn't show it. She finally looked away from her nails and up at AJ, obnoxiously smacking her gum. She raised an eyebrow at her, wondering why she was still here if she stopped talking. "Are you done?" Parker asked.
AJ was 87% positive she saw red. Her jaw was clenched so tightly she could've broken nut shells and even her teeth if she wanted. She wanted to splash her side right into Parker's face or slap her so hard she left a red hand print. Maybe even both.
Instead, she settled on taking a few deep breaths until she stopped fuming. Which was probably the worst thing for her to do. Anger and calmness wasn't a good combination, especially for her.
Her eyes were still filled with rage, but her posture and body language was calm. Then an idea struck her mind, one she knew would get to Parker. Which is exactly what she wanted. A second later she proved those previous assumptions right, saying something she knew she'd regret. She smiled, sickeningly sweet, and said those couple of words that changed her world upside down.
"You know what, Parker, I am done. Especially with you. I truly and sincerely wish mom and dad never had you."
