Wish I didAJ felt like there was a double meaning behind his words but brushed it off and stood up from her bed. It was Friday, the day of her date, and her entire closet was currently on her floor and bed. Wes had told her to dress fancy and she was slightly panicking. Part of her didn't care how she should dress because she was too busy stressing over how she'd have to tell him she'd kiss another person, and the other did care because this was her first real date.
Why the hell am I wasting my first date on this guy?
She rolled her eyes and paced around her room while she waited for Gio to arrive . She almost slid and busted her butt on a bright blue thong on her floor while scrambling to get the door when she heard the doorbell ring. She was down the stairs and at the door in seconds, smiling when the door opened to reveal Gio with a medium pizza and two sodas in his hands.
"Finally." she said, grabbing him by his arm and pulling him inside. She closed the door and walked back up to her room, him trailing closely behind.
"So what do you need my opinion f- woah." Gio's sentence was cut short when they walked into the mess that was her room. Clothes were literally everywhere. "What the hell happened in here?"
She plopped down on her bed and stared at the big pile of clothes. "Never mind that, I have a date with Wes and I don't know what to wear. I don't really care, but I kinda do."
He went quiet and she looked up at him to see him glaring at her with a clenched jaw. "That's what you called me here for? To figure out what to wear on your date with Weasel?" he asked, his time giving off every indication that he was pissed off. "Didn't you cheat on him? He's an asshole."
She glared at him when the word "cheat" fell out of his mouth. The word seemed so dirty and never failed to make her extremely uncomfortable. But at that moment, a thought had crossed her mind and she couldn't help but ask.
"Why don't you like him? What did he do to you?" she asked, curiosity getting the best of her. She didn't like him just as much as he didn't, but she had a reason. What was his?
"He took something from me that he knew damn well I wanted." he said, angrily dropping the box of pizza on her desk. He sighed and flopped down on her beanbag, taking his keys out and using the bottle opener to open his Jack Daniels. He tossed a bottle next to her before taking a swig of his. She didn't even bother to ask where he got alcohol from at 18, knowing him he probably had a fake I.D just like she did.
"You sound like you're in middle school." she told him, getting up and opening the box, taking a slice of pizza. She leaned against her desk, her ankles crossed as she took a bite out of it. Satisfaction definitely guaranteed.
