Briella's POV

My time in Brisbane flew by and before I knew it, I was getting off the plane at Sydney airport. Over the last few days in Brisbane Rachael and I couldn't do too much with out me being spotted. I wasn't asked for photos or anything, but fans did stare and point at us when we walked past. I knew they were talking about me, I didn't know what they were saying, but that didn't really bother me. What bothered me was, that I would have to get use to this. This was my life now, I was in a relationship with Luke Hemmings from 5 Seconds of Summer. Even if we break up, I'd probably still have to deal with all of this, because people would always know me as either Luke Hemmings' girlfriend, or the ex girlfriend of Luke Hemmings. The latter was something I didn't plan on being known as anytime soon.

I spotted Liz waiting for me just past baggage collection, "good flight?" She asked
"Yeah, it was alright," I shrugged, "I feel like I've done nothing but be on aeroplanes for the last week," I chuckled
"That's how the boys feel all the time," she said, with a smile
"How are they?" I asked, getting in to her car
"They're really good. Luke's been kinda moody though,"
"He didn't seem that way over the phone and stuff though,"
"I think it's because he misses you love," she patted my shoulder
"I miss him too," I sighed, "it's just weird, I left Australaia, with no intentions of getting a boyfriend on my three week holiday, only to come back home, dating your son,"
"Love works in mysterious ways, Briella," she told me
"I wouldn't call it love yet, Mrs Hemmings," I laughed
"It's Liz, Mrs Hemmings makes me feel old," she laughed, "and I don't know about you, but it definitely is verging on it for Luke," I just nodded, unsure of what to say, "oh shit, I'm sorry, I scared you,"
"Don't be sorry, I just wasn't expecting to hear that," I told her honestly; although it did scare me that Luke could already feel that way about me.

We arrived at the Hemmings' Western Sydney home around an hour later. The car ride was filled with mostly Liz and I talking about random things, "so seeing as you're from Melbourne," she began, "do you follow AFL?" She asked
"I do," I told her, "are you Sydney or GWS supporters?" I asked
"Sydney," she smiled, "I thought Luke would have told you already?"
"No he didn't," I smiled, "I'm still not over the 2012 prelim loss," I laughed
"Collingwood supporter?" She asked and I nodded, getting out of the car. I grabbed my suitcase out of the boot and followed Liz towards the front door, "now don't be alarmed, love," she began, "but Luke's brothers have decided to come over to meet you,"
"Oh God," I groaned, but there was still evidence of laughter, "I knew I'd be meeting everyone, but not on my first day here,"
"I know, but Ben and Jack are curious,"
"I suppose, I know that when Luke eventually comes down, my cousins are going to be the same,"
"No siblings?" She asked
"I have a younger brother and an older step brother," I said, "but I've kind of been excommunicated from my family,"
"Oh I'm sorry,"
"It's alright, my step mum just didn't agree with my choices, and also because I was meant to go back to Melbourne straight after America, but I didn't,"
"She sounded like a bitch over the phone," Liz laughed, I did as well,  recalling the phone call that took place between the two them, the day before I left America
"That's an understatement," I agreed
"Well I'll show you to Luke's room, where you'll be staying, if that's alright, I do have a spare room you can stay in, if you're not comfortable staying there,"
"Luke's room will be fine, thanks Liz," I smiled
"Well it's just up here," she said, leading the way to the room. She gave me some towels and showed me where everything was, "Andrew's cooking a barbecue for dinner tonight,"
"Alright thanks Liz," I told her, and she left the room, leaving me to myself for a little while.

Being inside Luke's childhood room, was something else. The walls were covered with posters of bands, and photos of his family and friends. I looked at the time, it was only three pm here in Sydney meaning it would be midnight in St Paul, Minnesota where they currently were. I knew they had a show tonight, and I knew that it would be over now, so I decided to give Luke a call through FaceTime, hoping he'd still be awake, or not out partying, "Liz?" I questioned, walking into the kitchen
"Yes love?"
"Do you mind if I connect to the wifi?"
"Not a problem love the password is (insert random wifi password),"
"Thank you so much," I told her. I left the kitchen and headed back towards Luke's room. I entered the password and waited for my phone to connect.
I immediately dialled Luke through FaceTime and waited for him to answer, "hi baby," he answered, rubbing his eyes
"Did I wake you?" I asked, he was lying on the tour bus bunk and it looked like he'd just woken up
"Nope," he said, grinning, "I'm just exhausted,"
"Yeah I know what you mean," I smiled at him
"What's up?" He asked. The last few days Luke and I hadn't spoken very much, due to time difference and they'd had a very busy schedule
"Just called to see if you were awake," I said, lying down on his bed, "can you guess where I am?" I laughed
"I know exactly where you are," he said, a smile appearing on his face, "and I wish I was there with you,"
"I wish you were here too," I told him
"Has my mum been okay?" He asked, worried about me being with Liz. Our introduction hadn't gone too well. At the beginning Liz hated me, and told me to stay away from Luke and the boys, but we managed to convince
her otherwise
"Yeah she's been great," I told him, "you're brothers are coming over tonight too,"
"I heard, Jack messaged me earlier," I laughed, "teasing me about having a girlfriend, his girlfriend Celeste is coming around too though, so at least it just won't be my brothers,"
"I'm just a little nervous about meeting your entire family though babe," I sighed, "we've been together for like a week,"
"I know, it's really soon," he lifted his hand and ran it through his hair, "but I guess this was going to happen with you going to Sydney and all,"
"Yeah, I guess,"
"They'll love you though," he yawned, "you're already on mum's good side,"
"It seems to be that way," I smiled, "you look like you're about to pass out babe,"
"Mmm,"
"I'll let you get some sleep though," I told him
"No I wanna talk to you," he whined, like a five year old, "I haven't spoken to you much all week,"
"I know babe, I know,"
"I just miss you, that's all,"
"And I miss you too," I said, "but there's only like six weeks until I can see you again,"
"I wish I could fly home during the break," he said
"You have a break?" I asked
"Like ten days, but we have the TCAs and then the VEVO Certified gig," his face fell, "so I don't have the time,"
"It's alright, I understand," that was the truth I did understand, this was his career, he couldn't put it on hold for me, and I wouldn't let him, "this is what you love, you're living your dream," I smiled, "I miss you, you know that, but I'm not going to be the one to stand in the way,"
"And that is why you're the best girlfriend ever," he smiled
"Yeah I know, I'm pretty amazing right?" I laughed. We continued talking for a few more minutes, until Luke looked like he couldn't stay awake any longer, "baby, I'm gonna go," I said, "I'll let you get some sleep,"
"Okay, I'll talk to you tomorrow or what ever it will be," he said, "I fucking hate time zones,"
"Me too, but we have to deal with it for now,"
"I know," he sighed, "I'll text you when I wake up,"
"Okay," I smiled, "I miss you and I'll talk to you later,"
"Miss you too baby girl," he said, "good night and sweet dreams," with that I pressed the disconnect button and put my phone on Luke's bedside table.
A minute later I felt my phone vibrate from its place
