I couldn't breathe as I stared at the picture of Jeremy on my phone. My kept ringing, but I couldn't answer it. Alex had walked off mad into another room and I stood here like and idiot staring at my phone. Why do I feel so guilty? It's not like I actually did anything wrong, right? I took a deep breathe and answered the phone on the last ring.
"Elena, are you okay? I have been trying to call you all night," Jeremy frantically greeted me. I tried to get my thoughts together to answer him, but they were all over the place. My heart was still racing from my little encounter with Alex and I'm still confused about what almost happened. Did I want something to happen? I forgot about Jeremy, when Alex got that close. I forgot about Sam, Chris and everything, which only made my guilty feeling grow. "Did I wake you up," Jeremy asked noticing the time. I took a deep breath.
"No, I was just out with Em and Alex all night and I hadn't realized my phone went off," I let out shaky laugh trying to show him I was okay, but he saw right through it.
"Elena, what happened?"
"Nothing."
"Then what has that pretty little mind of yours so troubled?"
"I am just a little tired and worried. I miss you and Chris and Sam. I'm worried about her, Jer. What if you guys don't find her in time? What if you and Chris get hurt? What if you," I couldn't finish my sentence. I honestly told him half of the chaos in my mind that I was thinking about all day, but to be honest, right now all my mind could think about was Alex.
"I promise you nothing will happen to any of us," he soothed me. I took a deep breath and listened to him talk. The sound of his voice always calmed me. "So how are you and Alex doing? You haven't killed him yet, right?"
I giggled, "No I haven't killed him, but I'm considering it. He broke my door just because I was to lazy to unlock it."
Jeremy chuckled while responding, "That's funny."
"It is so not," I screeched into the phone.
"Right, um, yeah, I mean, oh no he shouldn't have. Shame on him," he joked. I could hear him stifling his laughter. I narrowed my eyes even though he couldn't see me.
"Laugh now, pretty boy, but when you get home you will be regretting that." I heard him stop laughing.
"How so?"
"Well just ask Alex. He know how torturous I can be." I smirked to myself thinking about tonight and how that was only the beginning. Alex, Jeremy, and Chris will be in for a rude awakening when I finally unleash my full revenge on the three idiots.
"And how does he know," Jeremy asked seriously. I instantly regretted my big mouth. It was funny but now how am I suppose to answer that? Oh, I teased him in a club all night, turned him on, and made him almost kiss me, because that explanation would totally go over well, I sarcastically thought to myself. Then again, I don't have to give him and answer and can let him ponder it all night, or possibly the rest of his life.
"Well wouldn't you just love to know," I smirked knowing it would kill him to know.
I heard him sigh, "Tell me, please."
"Hmm, let me think. Nope."
I heard him sigh and I could feel him scolding me through the phone, "Fine. So where did you guys go tonight, anyways?"
"Some club. Alex said it was part of his normal routine and I just dragged Emily along not wanting to be alone with him."
"And what did you guys do at this club exactly," he asked trying to keep his jealousy in check, which made me laugh.
