I took a step forward when I was yanked backwards. Somebody had a very firm grip on my arm. Oddly, I didn't feel terrified. I felt safe even though that could be a murder grabbing me. I turned around to face whoever had my arm. My eyes went wide when I saw Alex standing there.
"What are you doing here," I asked completely shocked.
"I figured if you are going to kill yourself, then I should be there with you," he shrugged as if it was no big deal.
"They will kill you, though," I argued.
"So. If you die, I die," Alex whispered. I couldn't help myself, I stood there smiling like an idiot.
"Me too," Jeremy's voice said. I saw him walking up behind Alex.
"Elena," Jeremy sighed, "I really am sorry, just trust me now and give me another chance." I narrowed my eyes at him. I chewed on my bottom lip debating between trusting him or not. "You are a witch. You can see a person for what the truly are. You can tell if I am lying or not. You can tell whether or not you can believe me," he encouraged. I inhaled and calmed myself down. I wanted to hate him. I wanted to scream traitor and convince myself he's a liar, but I couldn't. He was right, as a witch I can sense all that and every bone in me says he can be trusted.
"Stupid witch sensing power thingy," I mumbled under my breathe. I looked him in the eyes before sharply whispering, "Don't make me regret this." Alex let out a little laugh causing me to shoot him a death glare. "What's so funny pretty boy," I asked, not wanting a real answer.
"Nothing," he composed himself, "What's the plan?"
"I am more of a wing it kind of person. I will take care of the traps and you guys just take care of the guard and we will go from there," I explained.
"I rather plan a little further," Alex mumbled.
"Just go," I whispered. I already disabled any traps that were protecting the entrance. Alex and Jeremy both stared at me. "Alright fine," I mumbled before stepping in clear view of the guard. I ignored protesting whispers from Alex and Jeremy.
"Look who showed up," the guard's voice boomed in the small cave. He had a heavy accent, but I couldn't tell from where. He reached for something in his pocket when I started doing a spell. I was slowly crushing his heart and lungs. He dropped to the ground gasping for air, but I knew he couldn't breathe. His lungs are closing and before he dies due to lack of oxygen, his heart will be crushed almost as if I reached my hand inside of him and squeezed it until it was shriveled away.
"Impressive," Alex said popping up next to me.
"Yeah thanks for helping," I sarcastically remarked.
"Looks like you handled it well though," Jeremy commented.
I rolled my eyes, "Let's go." I headed towards the door on the floor. I was about to open it when Alex's foot got in the way.
"We need an actual plan," Alex commanded.
"He's right," Jeremy agreed.
"Are you guys committing mutiny," I joked, "Well at least you are agreeing for once."
"You're funny," Alex mumbled, clearly annoyed.
"We need a plan to stall getting murdered long enough to save Sam," Jeremy told me. I sighed.
"Fine. Here's the plan. I am going to blind the four guards past that door, while you two kill each one of them. Afterwards we will look for Sam. I will go right. You two will go straight, take a right and Sam should be in the first room on your left. there will be roughly two guards on your way there and one in front of her door. You should have no problem taking them out. You guys get Sam and meet up with Shawn and Chris at the place we originally were going to meet. You will then go to the car and leave with Emily and Paul. I may or may not meet you at home. Got it? Good," I instructed them.
