"My help? What exactly are we talking about," I questioned him as I fumbled my way out of the woods.

"Your witch stuff isn't needed, trust me," he quickly explained, "I need help planning something"

"What do you need me to plan," I asked, eager to start planning something. I love planning anything almost and it would be a nice distraction.

"Promise not to tell anybody," he mumbled, sounding embarrassed.

"Yeah, I promise," I promised. I looked around, as I stepped out of the woods and onto the familiar sidewalk.

"I need your help planning a date," he admitted.

"With who," I said keeping my voice neutral. This could be good or very bad.

"Who do you think," he snapped.

"Well with that attitude I might not help you," I joked.

"Come on, Elena. You are the only person I can think of to help and besides, you owe me after your little episode," he begged.

"Dude, I am messing with you. I will help, but how did you get her to say yes?"

"I used my charm."

"Charm?"

"Yeah."

"So you mean begging, blackmailing, bribing, and anything other than her willingly saying yes?" I laughed, thinking about her refusing him constantly.

"Yeah, pretty much. I have one shot, so don't screw me over," he didn't even joke. He was really serious about her.

"My plans will go flawless. I am worried about you. How much time do I have to clean you up, coach you, plan and set up this date?"

"Three hours."

"Okay. I will be home in a minute or two, but Paul, you really are an idiot," I told him.

"Yeah, a lucky idiot. It was either tonight or never," he told me. I laughed and hung up the phone. I walked along the street looking around. I wanted to think about what was going on with Jeremy and Alex, but I refused to let myself think about them. I am done with it. I am done playing them. I agree I was being completely stupid, but I'm ending it for them and me. I have feelings for both of them and until I can figure out what I want, I just need to back off. If I stay they will just kill each other. I shook my head. I am starting to think about them and I don't want to.

I looked around, paying attention to details, trying to get distracted. The little houses were cute. The supernatural creatures weren't shocking. I saw a few that didn't look like a regular person, so I am guessing mostly vampires, werewolves, or witches live in this area. I saw a few kids playing at a park. From what I saw, there's almost everything that's in the human world. I took a deep breath. This fresh air feels good and the sunshine makes it a perfect day. It was nice here, in this world. I could live here. It could be my new home. The more I thought of it, the better it sounded. I started to think of home and my heart started breaking. My father was potentially evil and trying to kill me and my sister or he's dead. My mother was murdered. I can't go back to my house and be safe. Any friends, really, are in danger. I can never go back.

All too soon the fresh air and nice walk was stopped by a frantic, pacing Paul, outside the familiar, white house.

"There you are," he said almost relieved. He grabbed my arm and we started walking down the road.

"Dude, breathe, it's only been two minutes and I already have the perfect plan," I told him calmly.

"Are you sure it's perfect," he asked.
