There was a light spring rain outside, so while I walked I gazed out of the window. The weather gave this pleasant feeling somehow, the pitter-patter of water hitting the glass made music as the rain poured. Ren had been quiet the whole day, most likely enjoying the rain just like me. While I hummed a simple tune, I didn't notice a giant cake incoming.

"WATCH OUT!!!"

I saw pink and white and wait was that Honey-Senpai's picture...? Anyways, you can guess what happened. Cake got all over me as I crashed to the ground, completely covered in the diabetic dessert. Rubbing away icing from my bangs and face, I saw a girl of long black hair, with layers framing her face and a stand-offish appearance. She wore a black cloak strangely over the usual 'effing hideous dress of a school uniform... yeah sorry I just hate dresses a lot okay? Anyways, she was there and she pulled me up, appearing much stronger than she looked.

"... okay..?"

"Uh, yeah..."

"..."

"..."

Wow, I've never met people this quiet before. A bit of the sponge from the cake dropped from my bangs, snapping us out from the awkward silence. She turned to walk away but signaled at me to follow her. Silently I followed her, to the public sinks by the field and in the shade. While I washed myself up wordlessly, I tried to make a light conversation.

"Um, what's your name...?"

"Kanazuki Reiko..." She answered softly, her voice almost drowned out by the rain.

"I'm Sakurai Jun, nice to meet you. So uh... who was that cake for?"

The girl blushed and bit her lower lip. She looked too reluctant to tell, so I hurriedly followed up. Definitely can't tell her I already know who it is, although I don't know why.

"Ah, it's alright if you don't want to tell me, it is my fault for getting in your way."

"No... It's me, my fault... Sorry."

"Okay fine, let's just go with 'it's nobody's fault' then. Anyways, what are you going to do about that cake?"

"... there's no need for the cake..."

She muttered that plainly, but before I could say anything more, she simply walked away. Ren who had been silent finally burst out, a hint of displeasure in his voice.

How rude! Who the eff walks away like that after spilling cake on someone?! Switch with me Jun, I'm gonna beat some sense into her!

"Just leave it Ren," I muttered as I scanned my uniform. I definitely had to get changed and hurry off to class, Maths was always my worst enemy which I couldn't miss. The problem was, where was I supposed to get a change of clothes?

I've got an idea! Ren's voice echoed in my head. Ren... has an idea...? I tilted my head in curiosity.

How rude! I'm not as dumb as you think! Sheesh I don't care I'm taking over!

"Eh, wha-"

I never got to say anything; everything had blacked out suddenly and I succumbed into an unconscious state.
