"No way, why..."
After a long period of absorbing Maya's heavy words, Ren was the first to break the silence. His hands were clenched into fists, shaking with much anger along with gritted teeth.
"Onii-chan..." "Ren..." The fists then went flying. Flowerpots were smashed. A few chairs broken in a heap in the corner. Magazines thrown everywhere. The current Ren cared for nothing else apart from releasing his rage physically, roaring as he rampaged the room. Once he was done wrecking the aforementioned items above, Ren collapsed onto the bed with his fists covering his eyes. Silence was returned once more, at the price of Ren reluctantly accepting his sister's words.
"Why... just why must it be Jun? Why can't it just be me?"
"Ren..." Shivers ran through Ren's body as tears dripped from his eyes hidden from sight.
"...I have no family anymore and Jun has one. I have nothing left of my past while Jun still has hers. So why, why can't I be the one to die instead of Jun? Jun doesn't deserve this at all! It should have been me!"
The said person was silent the entire time, saddened and thoughts blank. Seeing Ren snapping and actually crying in front of her brought Jun back to her senses, urging her to slowly reach out for Ren. The moment her fingers touched his shoulder, Ren gave a slight jolt before the shivers were erased.
"Ren it's okay, we still have time-"
"Time?! WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME JUN DON'T YOU SEE IT YET?! YOU ONLY HAVE A WEEK LEFT BEFORE-! BEFORE YOU-! LEAVE!"
Saying the word 'die' was simply too hard for Ren. A three-letter word would rip apart the last of his sanity, no way. Suddenly without warning, Ren pulled Jun into a bone-crushing hug. His next words rumbled beside her, visibly choking with sobs.
"Who cares if you're destined to die or whatever?! You can't leave us behind this early, you've just started your life! Your own life without me intruding into it! I can't accept this!"
"..... Ren..." Jun simply didn't know what to do, seeing someone break down in front of her was horrible, especially since the reason was her. After a few minutes of silent hugging, Ren pulled away and began making his way out of the room.
"Onii-chan? Where are you going?"
".... Somewhere... I, I need time to think..."
With that, the auburn-haired male left the hospital and never came back.

Ever since that day, Ren had been shutting out everyone by hiding in his room. Nothing anyone said could ever get him out, leaving them with plenty of questions for him. In the end, the whole Host Club assembled in the Sakurai household out of concern for Ren.
"Is Ren still in there? It's been already two days..."
"He's blaming himself for Jun getting hurt. He believes that the bike accident was his fault since he claims to have visions of Jun dying." Kyoya adjusted his glasses as he spoke.
"Man, that's gotta be-"
"-real tough on Ren." The twins simultaneously flopped onto the couch while wearing identical glum expressions.
"It's not healthy for Ren-chan to stay in like that! We have to do something!" The little shota suddenly piped up and got up, followed by Mori.
"Honey-senpai? Where are you going?" Said shota didn't answer as he began making his way to Ren's room. The rest of them including Maika followed, wondering what he had in mind. When all eight of them had gathered in front of Ren's door only then did Honey-senpai speak again.
