Yoongi had kissed Jimin’s forehead and said, "I’ve been trying to wake you up gently for so long, but you wouldn't budge. I had to use this threat. Tomorrow, I’m taking you to the doctor. You’ve been getting tired and irritable way too much lately."
"No, I’m fine! I’m not going anywhere," Jimin huffed and marched into the bathroom.
Yoongi went to the study room to use the guest bathroom to freshen up. A few minutes later, Jimin emerged, feeling a pang of hunger but lacking the energy to go downstairs, so he ordered his dinner to the room.
When Yoongi came back in after changing, he saw Jimin glaring at the food tray with deep resentment. "What happened? Why are you staring at your food like it's your enemy?"
"I don't want to eat this," Jimin muttered.
Yoongi looked at the tray—jeera rice, matar paneer, dal, and roti.
Everything looked perfectly fine, and these were dishes Jimin usually enjoyed. "The dinner is fine, Jimin. Why won't you eat it? There’s nothing here you dislike."
"I know, but I still don't feel like eating it," Jimin insisted.
Yoongi took a deep breath, trying to stay patient. "Fine. Tell me what you want, and I’ll tell the cook to make it."
"But that will take too long, and I'm hungry now," Jimin complained.
"Well, anything new will take time. If you're that hungry, just eat this for now," Yoongi suggested.
"No! I don't want it!" Jimin pouted stubbornly.
Seeing his persistence, Yoongi sighed. He didn't know how to handle this version of Jimin. "Fine, let’s go out for dinner."
"It's almost 10:00 PM. You want to go out now?" Jimin asked.
This time, Yoongi gave him a look so stern that Jimin immediately went quiet. He sat down and started eating the original meal without another word.
"I'll just eat this for now," he mumbled. He didn't want to push Yoongi into actual anger; handling a truly angry Yoongi was something Jimin could never do.
Seeing him eat, Yoongi softened. He sat beside him, took the spoon, and began feeding Jimin himself. After dinner, Jimin slumped onto the bed. "I’m sleepy again."
"Again? You just woke up!" Yoongi said, staring at him in disbelief.
"Yes, but I'm still tired because you woke me up from a deep sleep," Jimin countered.
Yoongi stared at him for a moment, said nothing, and just lay down beside him. To escape Yoongi’s intense gaze, Jimin pulled the blanket over his head, then peeked out and rested his head on Yoongi’s chest, hugging him tight. Yoongi stroked his hair until they both drifted off.
The next morning,
Yoongi stayed home to work. He let Jimin sleep in, noticing how irritable he got when woken up. Around 9:00 AM, Jimin finally woke up and rubbed his eyes. Seeing Yoongi on the sofa with his laptop, he asked, "You didn't go to the office?"
"No. Go freshen up," Yoongi replied.
Jimin headed to the washroom without asking more questions. While he was gone, Yoongi’s phone rang. It was Namjoon .
"Sir, we found out that Si-woo had betrayed someone in a business deal. Maybe that’s why he was murdered," Namjoon reported.
"No, Namjoon. It’s not that simple. Gautam Randhawa was with Si-woo; he wouldn't let a simple business hit happen. If it were about money, Gautam would have made a deal. Something else is going on," Yoongi analyzed.
