Hearing Reet’s words, Minho couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. Why on earth had he brought Reet home with him? He realized now that she wouldn't let him touch any of his favorite foods.
Instead of anything flavorful, he’d be stuck with bland porridge and soup in the name of "light eating," which felt like a specialized form of torture to him.
Minho looked at Reet with a pitiful, puppy-dog expression, but she ignored him completely. He realized then that no matter how much she loved him, she wasn't going to fall for his charms when it came to his health.
Reet saw his face fall, looking small and dejected, but she stood her ground. She knew his condition required utmost care. He had only just started to recover, and as a doctor, she understood better than anyone that he needed to focus entirely on his health right now.
The next day,
Jimin and Tae skipped college. Jimin was sitting in Tae’s room, surrounded by a mountain of books, trying his best to study. he would pick up one book, put it down, and immediately grab another.
Watching this chaos, Tae snapped, "Jimin! Get it together. Can't you just stick to one book? You're distracting yourself and me!"
"I'm not as worried about the exams as I am about Yoongi ," Jimin said anxiously. "I have no idea what he's going to ask or which subject he’ll start teaching me tonight."
"He’s going to teach you, not put you on trial! Why are you stressing so much?" Tae asked.
Jimin glared at hi.. "You know exactly how little I know. I don't even remember the basics of these subjects. If Yoongi asks me something and I don't know the answer, he’s going to scold me so much!"
Tae sighed, finally empathizing. "Yeah, that’s true. We always wait until the very last minute to start studying, and this is the result."
The two of them tried to focus, but their minds weren't in it. Before long, they got bored and fell asleep. They spent the entire day in that room, oscillating between brief study bursts and long naps, even having their meals brought to them.
Around 6:00 PM,
Jimin looked at Tae and groaned, "I feel like I haven't learned a single thing."
"Tell me about it," Tae grumbled. "I don't even understand why exams exist in the first place!"
Jimin looked down at his textbook. "I definitely can't do Accounts anymore. Anyway, I'm going back to my room."
Jimin headed to his room and sat on the bed with her books. he had zero motivation, but he forced himself to look at the pages. Suddenly, his phone rang. Without thinking much, he answered it.
"Hello, Jimin!" a man's voice said from the other side.
"Hi... who is this?" Jimin asked.
"Who I am isn't important right now; you'll get to know me very well in the future," the man replied.
"For now, just think of me as an old lover."
"What kind of nonsense is this? Who are you?!" Jimin shouted, his voice rising in anger.
Yoongi, who had just returned from the office, heard his shouting as he walked toward the room. He stepped inside to see Jimin yelling at someone on the phone.
The man on the other end didn't reply; he simply laughed and hung up. Jimin stared at his phone in frustration. Yoongi walked over to her and asked, "What happened, Jimin? Who were you talking to with so much anger?"
