Rebecca's POV:
"Wait, you're having another one? You just had twins." I looked shocked at Maddie.
"I know but I love little babies. Plus I can't get enough of that blue medicine. I have a constant craving for it." Maddie smiled and rocked both Fawn and Clarke in her arms. Little Gavin was asleep in his crib and Heidi was on the floor playing with some colorful toy blocks.
"Maddie... I think that blue medicine...is a little addictive..." I stated slowly.
"I know it is but that's ok...it's not harmful." Maddie smiled and put Fawn in her crib and rocked Clarke in her arms still.
"Maybe you should take a break from the medicine for a little bit after this baby." I suggested.
"How long of a break are we talking?" Maddie frowned.
"How about a year or two." I said reasonably.
"What?! That's too long of a break!" Maddie shrieked. I sighed and shook my head. Maddie was more addicted to the medicine than me.
Just then there was a knock on our door. I answered it to see my mother standing there holding Nancy and Regina.
"I need you to watch them while I go get interviewed for a job position." My mother explained and handed me my little sisters.
"What kind of job?" I asked eagerly.
"A job as the ship commander's assistant." My mother answered excitedly and handed me the diaper bag for Nancy and Regina. She then left quickly.
"Looks like I'll be taking care of four babies for the afternoon." I grinned and set Regina and Nancy down in the playpen where Gregory was.
Joshua began to cry so I picked him up from his crib and rocked him gently.
"You're such a natural mother." Maddie commended me.
All of a sudden Marie burst through the door holding Marly, Nina and Benjamin. She looked really upset.
"Marie? Are you ok?" I asked with a worried expression.
"No! Laurie just tricked me! I ordered a water from the cafeteria but instead of drinking water I drank more of the blue medicine! Laurie was there with a evil look and she was laughing. She switched the drinks somehow!" Marie looked so upset.
"She did the same thing to me too." I sighed.
"I've already got three babies! I can't handle another one!" Marie was crying now.
"Hey, hey...it's alright. We're going to help one another alright?" I said calmly. Marie nodded and sat down with Marly, Nina and Benjamin still in her arms.
I put Joshua back in his crib and held Nina and Benjamin for Marie. I was willing to help Marie any way I could.
