~TRIGGER WARNING: SELF HARM, BURNS~

Your POV:

You woke up the next morning when the sunlight hit your face just right. Yawning you sat up stretching reminding yourself that you needed to go get some blackout curtains for your room. Looking down you realized that you fell asleep drawing, not only in your clothing but with charcoal all over your hands and face from laying on the picture you sketched of Tate. Groaning you tried not to touch anything else as you got out of bed heading for the bathroom. Twisting the knobs on the bathtub which had a shower arm on it you rinsed off your hands so you wouldn't get it all over your pants. Lifting your shirt over your head letting it drop on the floor, removing the rest of it as the steam rose from the porcelain. Sitting inside of it you clicked the cap off your shampoo, using the spray you wet down your long [Y/HC] hair. Squirting the gel into your hand you began to massage your scalp the lather falling into the water all around you.

Rinsing it out you put conditioner in letting it sit and sink it, it would make your hair soft and full of your favorite scent. Taking the washcloth that hung over the edge of the tub you started washing your body, moaning just a little at the feeling of the hot water. Getting the soap off you, you use your toes to unplug the drain watching the water slowly disappear. Pulling the towel off the rack you wrapped it around you to keep the warmth from fleeting. Wrapping your hair up in a smaller one, it was made just for hair having a Velcro attachment to keep it tight. Wandering back into your room you pick out some new clothing for the day, just a simple plaid shirt and a pair of yoga pants. [Outfit: www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=174613258] Your hair wasn't quite dry enough to style yet so you went downstairs for your morning up of coffee.

Your mother was already down there conversing with Moira and she had a huge smile on her face, something that you hadn't seen in so long. Maybe just maybe that moving here was really the best thing for your family. Sure you had no idea where your dad was or when he was going to come back but you weren't going to lose sleep over him not being there. "Morning Mom."You said finding yourself smiling genuinely in return.

"Morning baby!"She replied joyfully. "I have asurprise for you!"She exclaimed excitedly wrapping her arms around you pulling you into a large hug. "Your Aunt and cousins are going to come visit for a week to help us unpack and get used to the area!"She explained softly. It had been a long time since you had seen them because they lived in California and you had lived in Michigan your entire life. Thinking back to when they did visit or vice versa and you grimaced. Your older cousins had tormented you because you were everything they were not. They were popular and pretty or handsome and you were the weird cousin who sat in the corner listening to music ignoring their existence as if that were possible. Half of you hoped they would have grown up since then and that you guys could be friends but the other half told you that was utter bullshit and that you had to prepare yourself for their impending arrival.

"That's...great mom!"You said trying to sound enthusiastic but it was hard when the pit in your stomach was growing by the moment.

"I know you guys had some problems when you were younger but I'm sure things are going to be better now that you are young adults."She said smiling a rubbing your back before letting you go. "They will be here anytime now and I would like it if you were down here to greet them with me."She said handing you a cup of coffee just how you like it. It was most definitely a peace offering as she knew you would be nervous about it. Taking a long sip the smell of it's freshness invaded your nostrils in the best way. Swallowing you took a deep breath, your eyes closing lightly. The moment was quickly over when the doorbell rang causing your heart to drop out of your chest. Sighing you followed your mom to the front foyer before she unlocked and opened the door. Walking in first was your Aunt Lauren, followed by her three kids Jeremy, Zach, and Amber all with similar smirks on their faces, the kind that said that they thought they were better than you.

"Wow this place is a dump, fitting for The Murder House I guess."Amber said sarcastically getting her shoulder knocked by Jeremy telling her to shut up.

"Amber apologize that is not polite, this is a lovely house Karen very large for the area! You also have a decent sized yard which is hard to find in California!"Aunt Lauren complimented giving your mom a huge hug before turning to you. "[Y/N] darling! You have grown into such a lovely young lady, it has been far too long! Now kids go and catch up with your cousin, Aunt Karen and I are going to go have some tea in the kitchen we need a break from you guys every once in a while! Have fun and be safe."Her voice rang out as your mom led her towards the kitchen her resonating voice able to be heard throughout the house leaving you and them alone. God how you wished Tate was there to be able to back you up but he hadn't come over yet today.

"Hey guys."You said awkwardly not really sure what kind of small talk you should use with family you hadn't seen in years. "Do you want a tour of the house?"You asked attempting tobe kind.

"Don't try and make friends with us [Y/N], you are pathetic enough as it is, we don't need your fake kindness."Amber scoffed pulling out a cigarette of a red pack lighting it, taking along drag before shaking the ashes off onto the floor. "Where is your father's liquor cabinet?"She asked firmly staring at you.

"Why should I tell you?"You asked angrily rolling your eyes, it was clear that she had not changed a bit maybe even having gotten worse.

"Because if you don't tell us we will be forced to use other methods to get it out of you."Zach said raising his eyebrows in curiosity wandering towards you. "We did it before and we can do it again, so just cooperate with us and you won't have any trouble."He warned.

"Fuck off."You said turning around to walk away when you felt your arm being grasped tightly yanking you back. "I said fuck off!"You reiterated turning around meeting his gaze.

"Now that is no way to treat your family who is kind enough to visit you. Now tell us where it is."Zach growled grabbing what was left of Amber's cigarette pressing it into your arm causing excruciating pain, burning your skin.

"It's in the study."You said wincing trying not to cry in front of them, it would just justify them even more. Taking a deep breath you had barely pulled your arm away from him starting to walk away when a vase went flying right into his back knocking him over breaking into a million pieces. As fast as you could you ran away knowing they would find someway to pin it on you and make your life even more of a living hell than before. Locking yourself in your bedroom panting and grabbing your knees trying to catch your breath. Walking into the bathroom taking your hair out of the towel runningyour fingers through it before brushing it. Tears were falling down your cheeks as you braided it to the side so it was out of your face. Reaching into the cabinet you grabbed your old friend, something you hadn't touched in so long. It was calling to you, tempting you each second passing wanting you to greet him once more. Lifting up your shirt, yanking your pants down slightly to get at your hip you started using the corner of the sharp blade. Slowly you carved into your skin what everyone really thought about you, just one word. 'Pathetic'. It felt like a giant release to once again let that sting encompass your mind.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING [Y/N]?"A familiar voice called out knocking the razor out of your hand onto the floor.

A/N:I know there was a lack of Tate in this one but believe me it is setting up for a hell of scene. I hope you are enjoying it! Please let me know and PLEASE SHARE! Thanks for reading! -A
