Chapter 12: Unpredictable

"Need to talk?" Natsu questioned Gray.
What would they need to talk about?
Weren't they done?

That's how Natsu had observed it, no matter how much it hurt and how much he missed his Gray, the outcome couldn't change.

But wait, didn't Lucy and Loke get back together?

"Let's go. Follow me." Gray grabbed the pinkettes hand and led him out the front door of the school.

Gray had made a right turn and from then on Natsu knew exactly where Gray was taking him.

"The tree.." Natsu stared up at the large tree in the field which was now blooming pink sakura blossoms.

"This is where I found you the first time something like this happened." Gray stared at Natsu while the other latter was mesmerized by the tree.

"Huh? Oh right.." Natsu recalled what had happened back then.

Back then he hated school, he always complained. But somehow, without even realizing it, he stopped hating.

He only felt happy.

"Gray...why did you bring me here?" He said softly.

"I needed to tell you why I did what I did. Why I told you it was just a joke."

Natsu felt his heart sting a little at that word.
Just a joke.

"I...was lying.." Gray stated, refusing to look up while Natsu's head whipped up.

He was lying? About Laxus? Or about not being gay? Or...

"Natsu...I, I like you."

"W-What?" Natsu stuttered. He wasn't surprised.

"This better not be a joke." He clenched his fists.

Gray looked up, tears forming in his eyes.

"It's not!" His voice cracked.

Natsu sighed letting out a deep breath.

"Good." He stated and gave Gray...

A big right fist in the face. Well he always was unpredictable.

"I like you too jackass!" Natsu screamed at Gray who was now on the ground.

Sakura blossoms fell from the tree and dancers with the wind, whipping around in all directions.

Gray caught one with his hand. It was a small blossom, but it was very beautiful.

"Sorry.." Gray laughed.
Natsu sat down beside him and pulled him into a hug.

"It's okay. You can tell me what happened later, right now...just stay with me."

Natsu flushed. He felt a soft feeling make his way down his neck, a hand reached up his shirt and fingernails drifted across his back.

"NOT LIKE THAT!" Natsu whacked Gray across the head as the black haired boy fell to the ground. Again.

His Sakura blossom was a special one indeed.
