"Pick up, Pick up, Pick up", I mumbled to myself as the caller tune sounded. As I almost gave up the hope of talking, Jenny picked up.
"Hello? April?" I heard her say and before she could complete I was already spilling out the contents of my brain out to her.
"You will not guess what Jenny!" I began to tell her of my recent development when she interrupted "Whoa, whoa. Whoa girl! How can you be so energetic after yesterday's episode? Aren't you like, hung over or something?"
"Not really," I explained, "Somehow Sierra got to know that I was drunk last night so she kept this homemade concoction for me to drink, and I'm alright now."
"Well, you've got me to thank for that honey," she replied, "I texted her last night to let her know about you, and don't worry Axl doesn't know."
"Aww, thanks Jen," I replied. "Okay, now listen to me," I began, "I found my bad boy!"
"Uhuh," she replied incoherently, and then as if something hit her, "Wait, What?! You found a boy at last night's party, Oh my God, Oh my, God, Oh. My. God. April!!!"
This girl and her enthusiasm never failed to amuse me.
"Whoa, Jennifer, calm down," I said, "No, I didn't find my bad boy, but I found a bad boy image for my book."
"Oh good," she replied on the other end, trying to hide her disappointment and be a supportive best friend at the same time.
"I don't know what that drink contained last night, but I had one of the most beautiful dreams ever," I explained, "and it consisted of this boy, with the most captivating blue-green eyes, and a contagious smile and ohhh."
I hadn't realized till the last word that I had begun hyperventilating with every phrase. That was all it took for me to replay that dream again in my head, completely zoning out from my phone call.
I have absolutely no idea what happened last night, after I fainted because, well, I fainted. Everything else was a blur, like a smudge of charcoal on a blank canvas. The only thing that was freshly imprinted in my memory was last night's dream. The boy, his eyes, his light hearted laughter and his chestnut brown hair, everything was so perfect.
"Yoo hoo April! Still there on the line?" her voice cut me off from my thoughts and I quickly snapped back to reality and confirmed that I still was on the line.
"I totally forgot to ask, what happened last night?" I asked Jennifer.
"We don't really know much, but when it was time to leave, we looked for you everywhere and then Aaron found you collapsed on the lawn outside. We both lifted you into the car and put you onto the bed before leaving." she answered.
