I had a firm grip around Legolas and he was blocking the wind from being in my face, which I hated. I gently let go of him and carefully stood up behind him.
"Vilya!" Both Aragorn and Legolas cried out, but Gimli said
"Let her be." I stood up behind Legolas with my hands firmly on his shoulders. Finally the wind blew in my face and I closed my eyes. The wind untangled my dirty and messy hair. Gimli was watching me but I didn't care. This is freedom for me. When I could forget everything, the good and the bad. I opened my eyes and saw the a burning pile of orcs. The smell filled my nose and I coughed. It was disgusting.
Everyone got off the horses but me. I stayed on Arod and held Haflas's reins. I trotted over with the others. Aragorn kicked a helmet sky high and screamed. Gimli was holding one of the daggers that was given to the hobbits from the Lady Galadriel. Legolas whispered under his breath
"May they rest in peace." My heart screamed in the pain of all of this. I lost Gandalf, Bormir and now two hobbits. Then Aragorn said
"A hobbit lay here." He picked up some cut ropes.
"They must have cut the ropes with this." And he held up an Orc dagger. I looked into the forest.
"They must have gone into Fangorn Forest." I bit my lip. That was not good. But Aragorn walked over to me.
"Stay here Vilya! We will back soon." Aragorn started to walk away. I slipped off the horse.
"No!" Aragorn turned around.
"Vilya, you can't walk with your leg the way it is." I limped towards him.
"Aragorn no!" I stumbled into his arms.
"Please Aragorn, let me go with you."
"Vilya you will be safe with the horses." I looked at him and replied
"Aragorn, if you die, I die. I can't watch another of my friends killed. If there are orcs waiting to kill us, then I will die with you." Aragorn's eyes filled with tears. I stood up and gently wiped the tears from his eyes.
"Aragorn, if this is my fate, then I will follow it." He nodded pulling me into a gentle hug. Legolas knelt down and said
"I will carry you." Aragorn helped me up and then helped Legolas to his feet. Then we started off. Then we got into the forest, there was lots of trees that I could lean on, so I got off Legolas and walked close to the trees. Legolas and Gimli were talking about the trees and I placed my hand on one of the trunks. At once I could tell they were different from any other. Then Lwgolas whispered
"To your right." My eyes gently moved and I saw a white figure walking towards us. I slowly pulled out one of my daggers, Legolas fitted an arrow to his string, Gimli held onto his axe and Aragorn pulled out his sword. Then we spun around to the face the white figure.
"You are looking for hobbits." Aragorn frowned
"They are quite safe!" Then Legolas let his arrow fly. It went sky high. Aragorn dropped his sword and Gimli fell over. I put my dagger away. The others now looked scared. I loathed and ran towards the figure.
"Vilya, no!" Aragorn shouted. I jumped into the arms of an old friend.
"Gandalf!" I cried. Gandalf laughed and we hugged each other. Legolas knelt and Aragorn smiled. They were talking about the hobbits and the Balrog, but I wasn't listening for two reasons. One, my leg was really sore and two, I was too happy to listen. Then Aragorn must have seen the pain on my face because he walked up to me and gently cut off the bandage and smeared some of the stuff Eomer gave him on the it. Then he wrapped it in new bandages. That was when I noticed something new about Gandalf.
"Gandalf, you're white!" He smiled and hugged me.
"Yes Vilya. I am Saurman as he should have been. Come! We make for the Golden Halls of Rohan." Legolas gently picked me up and we started off.
"What about the hobbits?" Gandalf smiled.
"They are safe."
