Ellarian is a young elf from the palace of Greenwood. She works hard as a soldier in King Orphor's army. The only one that knows she is a female in the army is the king. But one day in battle, her helmet is kicked off her head in front of Prince Thranduil. She also saves his life.
Thranduil falls in love with this stubborn and reckless female solider. His father doesn't permit them to marry.
But one day, fate decides to change that. Orphor is killed in battle and Thranduil is made king of Greenwood. Ellarian becomes his queen.
She knows fate changes in the blink of an eye. She knows what it is like to face death.
But is she ready to die for the thing she loves the most?
