I followed Legolas out into the garden.
"Vilya, are you lying to me?" I sat down and looked at him.
"Legolas, what do you mean? I don't understand." He was walking up and down in front of me.
"I saw you kissing a young man, just a moment ago."
"Legolas, I was in houses of healing with Merry, then I went with Pippin to find my father. Ask Pippin. He was with me the whole time. Maybe you mistook me for someone else." Legolas looked at me and I continued
"Legolas, I wouldn't lie to you." I stood up and gently touched his cheek.
"My Greenleaf, I love you and I know that you know that I would not lie to you." Legolas gently pulled me close to him and I heard him whispered
"I am sorry."

When night came, Aragorn had decided to ride to the Black Gates of Mordor with an army so Frodo could get to Mount Doom safely. I could not sleep. I lay, turning and wriggling like a worm. I couldn't get comfortable. Finale I gave up trying to sleep and walked out onto the balcony. I was in my loose white nightgown which was now floating in the breeze. I was not the only one. I saw Legolas, shirtless dressed in only brown legging, a little way down, leaning out over the railing. I turned to watch a fiery light in the sky above Mordor. Then I grew afraid. Sauron will be watching my father and I tomorrow. I knew that we would both die if Frodo didn't destroy the Ring.

"Can not sleep?" Legolas was leaning next to me.
"If Frodo doesn't destroy the Ring, both my father and I will die." Legolas rubbed my back and gently touched my hand with the black eye on it.
"Vilya, I can't live without you." I looked at him and said
"Legolas, if I die, you must live. For my sake. If you die, then what I died for is nothing." Tears filled my eyes and I could see tears on his face.
"Promise me, Legolas, promise me, Mellon nin." Legolas nodded and whispered
"I promise, Vilya."

We stood for a while then Legolas gently picked me up and placed me on my bed.
"Legolas, I can't sleep." His hands were pulling down my nightgown. But my hands stopped him from pulling it down.
"Legolas, don't make it any harder than what it all ready is." He sighed and pulled up my dress and I pulled him close to me. Sleep finally came, with his body as my blanket.

The next morning, Legolas had gone and I got up. I dressed into the green and gold dress that Arwen gave me, long those months ago. I did my hair up and had sure that my bracelet was on. I knew it wasn't going to come off but I checked anyway.

I met my father on the way down to the army.
"Vilya, you know that we may not make it back, so I wanted you to know that I am very proud of you and love you. Vilya, you may not remember your mother, but she loved you more than life." I hugged him and got up on the horse behind him.
"Ready?" I nodded. We started to gallop towards our doom.
