Sorry for my surprise mini hiatus, everybody! I just felt like I needed some time to relax, because lets be honest, I updated all Summer.

But I'm back today, and happy because my first book reached 18K and this one 6K! Thank you so much! Also, just 3 or 4 more chapters before we get back to normal scenarios. Promise.

Dil tapped his pencil on the edge of the desk, deep in thought, looking at the paper in front of him. He's been sotting like that for over two hours.

Phil and P/W/N tried to get him to eat something or do something else, but he just waved them away.

On the paper, there was a mess of squiggles and lines, trying to link some things together.

Dil felt so close, yet so far away from the answer.

"Fight in the library, Megan..." He sighed and lowered his head into his hands. "Why is this so difficult? There must be something I'm forgetting."

"Knock knock." He heard someone behind him. He turned around and saw Brooke, with a look of sympathy on her face.

"Oh." He turned back around. "Hey, mate."

"Dil, they told me everything. You need to stop." Brooke walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

Dil dropped the pencil in frustration and stood up, slamming his hands on the desk.

"Why should I?!" He shouted angrily at her. Brooke's eyes widened. "I'm older than you, Brooke! I don't need you or anyone else to supervise me! If you're not going to help..." He trailed off and started breathing heavily.

Brooke, who had never seen Dil react so strongly before, just stared at him, frozen in place.

"WELL? GET OUT OF HERE, YOU NOSY BRAT!" He shouted, throwing a book at her, hitting her in the face, hard.

Brooke let out a small gasp and held her hand up to her nose, and saw that she had a bloody nose. She quickly scurried to the bathroom.

Once she left, Dil sat back down, concentrating on the task at hand.

A few minutes later, Brooke came back, and watched Dil for a few minutes to make sure he calmed down.

"Do you feel better, Dil?" She asked sweetly.

"Huh?" Dil was confused. "You...aren't gone yet?"

"Of course not. I'm your friend." She spoke softly. "I know you well enough to know that you didn't mean it. You hate being alone."

"You....You're right." He sat back down in disbelief. "I'm sorry for my breakdown. Are...you...alright?"

"It happens to everyone sometimes." She assured, stepping closer to him. "You're just stressed. I'm fine."

Dil smiled a little.

There was a knock on the door.

"Is everything alright in here?"  P/W/N asked, looking around. She saw Brooke's nose. "What happened?"

"Everything's fine, mom." Dil sighed, looking at her.

"Are you sure? Brooke, are you okay?"

"Just a little nose bleed, Mrs. Lester." She half-lied, smiling.

"If you say so." She smiled back and closed the door.

"You know, you really....sounded like Caitlin just now. She's good at looking deeper into people too."

"She probably rubbed off on me." Brooke admitted, returning the smile. "She's an amazing friend. I'm just as upset about this as you."

Dil looked down, not sure how to respond.

"If we want to find her," She continued. "We have to think like her. Whenever she's overworked, she tries to relax." Brooke chuckled. "Quite the lazy one, but it's true. So, try and relax, Dil."

Dil nodded and sat down on his bed. He picked up a Rubix Cube and started fondling with it.

"A Rubix Cube relaxes you?" Brooke raised an eyebrow at him. Dil rolled his eyes.

"Yes. I love puzzles."

"Oh really? What's your record?"

"3 minutes."

"I can totally beat that." She smiled and took the cube from him. "Watch this."

After she solved the Rybix Cube in 1 minute, they took turns trying to see who could do it the fastest.

"Alright, Brooklyn. You win." He laughed. "That was fun.

"It was. Does this remind you of Caitlin in any way?"

"We're always so competitive with each other. It's like we're still kids."

"Sounds like you two have a strong bond, like you two could tell each other anything."

"She did tell me everything. Like when she was getting bullied." Dil said without realizing. Then he covered his mouth and gasped.

"Don't tell her I said that."

"Bullied? When does Caitlin Rose Howell get bullied?!"

"By...my ex girlfriend's sister."

"Megan?!"

"Yeah. That's who she got into a fight with."

Brooke suddenly widened her eyes.

"Is she crazy? She does know she comes from a high-end family, right?"

"Yeah, she does. She was probably really scared of her, now that I think about it."

"Wait a second..." Brooke pondered. She stood up and walked over to the paper Dil had been writing on.

"It all makes sense now! Dil, you dumb genius, I love you!" Brooke hugged Dil and jumped up and down.

"Woah. What are we celebrating?"

"I know where she is! She's at a hotel somewhere!"

"How can you be so sure?"

"Well, she was with her boyfriend, right?"

"Yep."

"And she was scared of Megan, right?"

"Get on with it."

"Knowing Caitlin, she gives up really easily, and I'm guessing that since she was with her boyfriend, she wanted to start a new lofe and never look back!"

"Oh. My. God."

"I know! We have to go round up search parties! Let's go!"
