Waking Up Next to Him

Dan:
When you saw the time on the clock, you scowled. You were awake at 7 AM. It was a weekend, so everyone was sleeping in today. You could hear rain pouring outside, and you could see behind the curtains that it was a dark and dull day outside.

You turned over and saw Dan, well, sleeping. His mouth hung open slightly, and little, quiet snores escaped from it.

You smiled at how cute he was. Even after all this time of being married, you still couldn't believe how lucky you were to have him.

You kissed him softly on his forehead, and snuggled up against him, feeling safe. Secure. Warm.Within minutes, you went back to sleep, not wanting to be anywhere else.

Phil:
Your eyes slowly opened in the morning. You were still kind of sleepy, because you went to bed late watching Netflix. Thankfully, it was a Sunday, so you could sleep in.

As you tried to see what time it was, you found yourself restrained in a protective hug, by Phil. You found it adorable that he looked like a baby when he slept, the way he was snuggled up against you, the way he smiled in his sleep.

You felt extremely comfortable in his arms. It almost felt natural,for you to be so close. Before you knew it, you drifted back to sleep, right where you felt you belonged.
