After moving all of our boxes inside our new house, Evan and I sat on the stairs.
"Wow," I sighed, "it's been a long day."
"Without you my friend," Evan sang teasingly.
"Stop," I whined, "that song makes me cry."
"I'm sorry, baby." He smiled and lazily wrapped his arms around me.
"It's alright," I felt his lips connect with my head and I smiled.
The doorbell rang.
"Who's that?" I asked.
"I don't know, I'm not psychic." Evan replied sarcastically. I shot him a look and we both stood up.
Opening the door, I plastered a smile on to my face.
"Hi!" A boy on the other side of the door enthusiastically said, "I'm Ashton. This is Luke, Michael, and Calum." he giggled pointing to each of his friends in turn, "We live just next door!"
"Hello," I greeted politely. I had remembered seeing only one other house, aside from ours. It was because we lived on a very small beach a few minutes away from town, "I'm Adelaide, you can call me Addie though. This is my husband, Evan." Evan waved.
"Nice to meet you," Ashton waved. I glanced at his appearance, he had dark blonde hair and green eyes. No, they were brown. Maybe both? He had on black skinny jeans (they all did) and a ripped Nirvana t-shirt, "we wanted to bring you a welcoming gift, but we didn't have anything. So here's a bag of crisps."
Ashton's sentence broke my train of thoughts. Crisps? What?
Evan must have seen my confusion and he rushed to my aid.
"That's nice of you," He took the bag of Ruffles from one of Ashton's friends. Was it Mitchell? I didn't even know. His hair was a faded purple color. He looked grumpy, probably because we just took his chips. I would be grumpy too.
"Well, we best be going." the blonde boy next to Ashton said. Levi was it? He had a lip piercing that he kept sucking into his mouth. Wow, I really liked his lip ring. What would Evan look like with a lip ring? I giggled at the thought.
All five guys stared at me strangely.
"Alright," Evan said still looking at me weirdly, "see you later."
"Bye," all of the boys said in unison as they walked away.
Evan closed the door.
"That was a bit strange," he stated walking into the kitchen. I laughed.
"They were just being nice, we're their only neighbors." Evan sighed, "Can I have some Ruffles?" I asked him.
"Yeah, sure. Come get 'em." I heard Evan rip the bag open.
