Author’s POV
It had been a month since Akshu’s birthday, and in that one month, everything between them had changed in ways neither of them had expected. What once felt uncertain had slowly softened into something warm—something steady. Comfort had grown into closeness, and closeness into a quiet, unspoken bond that lingered between them in every glance, every touch.
Vishnu had changed too. He had become more mischievous, more playful—finding little ways to tease her, to pull reactions out of her that she didn’t even realize she had. And Akshu… she had begun to look forward to it. To him.
That morning, as the soft golden light slipped through the curtains, Akshu stirred awake, only to realize she was still wrapped securely in Vishnu’s arms. His hold around her waist was firm, almost instinctive, as if even in sleep, he refused to let her drift away.
“Vishnu…” she whispered softly, trying to move.
He only tightened his hold.
A small, helpless smile touched her lips. There was something comforting about it—something that made her pause before gently easing herself out of his embrace.
After finishing her morning chores, she stood before the mirror, carefully adjusting her saree. Her fingers moved with practiced ease, yet her thoughts wandered elsewhere.
Akshu - innaki naa ye saree kattirken...
she murmured under her breath, though the faint blush creeping up her cheeks betrayed the real reason behind it.
Taking his clothes, she went downstairs and joined Soundharya in the kitchen. The morning passed in its usual rhythm, filled with the soft clatter of utensils and quiet conversation. By eight, everything was ready.
Suddenly—
Vishnu - “AKSHU!”
His voice echoed loudly through the house, impatient and unmistakably dramatic.
Soundharya shook her head.
Soundharya - ivan kalangathala ye ipdi kathittu irukan...
Akshu bit back a smile.
Akshu - naa poi paakure athae...
she said quickly, already heading upstairs, her steps faster than necessary.
Vishnu - “AKSHU!”
She reached the door, pausing just outside.
Akshu - ippo yedhuku ye pera ipdi yelam vittutu irukeenga
