'If you wanna fight, I'll stand right beside you.

The day that you fall I'll be right behind you,

to pick up the pieces, if you don't believe me,

then just look into my eyes,

because the heart never lies'.

May, 2013.

I couldn’t believe it. Today was the day I’d see Niall again, and we were going to McFly’s concert in Wembley.

Niall and I were doing good so far. We spoke everytime we had a chance to, and I even went to see him during his tour. We spent a week together; Perrie, Eleanor and Danielle were also there at the same time. And whenever we weren’t with the boys, we spent all the time the four of us together; we had gotten so close.

Leigh and Nate were also doing great. I went to Italy once, and truth is, I absolutely loved it. Leigh and I went shopping, and did that catch up we needed so bad.

Alan, my friend from uni, still had the same obsession over One Direction. But I could barely spend 2 or 3 hours around him, because it was getting worse as seconds went by.

I lifted my head up, but he wasn’t there yet. I was at the airport, waiting for him, but the flight was delayed.I sighed and kept on playing with my phone.  A while after, I heard over the loudspeaker that the plane had landed. I put my phone back in my pocket, stood up from the chair and there I saw him, searching for me. I ran to him, and as soon as he saw me, he held me in his arms and kissed me.

“You don’t know how much I’ve missed you”, he said.

“I missed you too”.

“Have you been waiting for long?”

“No, just half an hour, but I’ve been playing games with my phone”.

I hugged him and we kept on talking. Later we took a taxi that drove us to his place. When we got there, we jumped out of the cab and came into his house. Everything was as messy as it was the day Niall left.

“I can’t believe you left your house in this state”, I told him.

“I didn’t have time to tidy it up”.

“Well, you could’ve at least picked up your t-shirts from the floor”, I said, picking them up myself.

“I couldn’t, because I remind you that I spent the day before I left with you, the entire day”.

“Niall, for God’s sake, this ain’t normal”, I laughed.

“But Maddie, leave it alone, I’ll tidy it myself when we’re back from the concert”.

“We both know you won’t”.

“Yes, I will. I promise”.

“I’m sure when we’re back from the concert, you’ll convince me to come here, and I tell you I’m not tidying anything”. I left the clothes I’d picked from the floor on his bed, and I turned around.
