CHAPTER 12: BLOOD BROTHERS

(A/N: So, if you don't follow me, or if you didn't see the announcement where I said that I'm going to start writing in third person. I'm sorry for you who wanted me to write in first person, but it was a tie, and I personally like the way I write third person better.)

Saltzman Residence

"So, basically you vervained Stefan and threw him in the cellar to let him bleed out?" Natalie asked Elena as they talked on the phone.

"Wha- no!" Elena exclaimed loudly. "I just want him to get in control, but he's refusing to drink any blood. And, yes, I did have to vervain him, but that's not the point."

"So, basically you vervained Stefan and threw him in the cellar to let him bleed out." Natalie reapeted annoyedly.

"Basically, yeah." Damon's voice came through the phone, you could almost feel his smirk.

"At least Damon is honest, Elena." Natalie rolled her eyes playfully, even though she knew that they couldn't see her.

"You want to come over and see him?" Elena asked, ignoring her younger sister's playful statement.

"Why are you asking me?" Natalie asked, putting her phone between her chin and her shoulder as she reached into the fridge to find some chocolate.

"Well, you see, Elena is incredibly jea-" "You guys have bonded, right?" Elena cut Damon off.

"I wouldn't really call either being tortured together or me trying to kill him bonding." Natalie said sarcastically.

"What about when you guys were dancing at the party?" Elena asked, jealousy clear in her tone of voice.

"You see, Elena, when a drunk Stefan and a bored Natalie are around each other..." Natalie trailed off sarcastically before she finally found the chocolate and smiled.

"Just come over, please. Elena is such a nuisance." Damon told her.

"Let me weigh my options. Sit at home, eating chocolate and watching Neflix, or hanging out with the guy who killed my mom?" Natalie took a bite of chocolate as she threw herself on the couch.

She would never admit it, but she was starting to warm up to Damon slightly. When she first found him, she expected to find a heartless jackass who didn't give a crap about anyone but himself. Instead she found Damon Salvatore. A guy, who seems to have grown so much over such a small timeline. Natalie knew that even though he didn't show it, he loved his brother more then anyone else in the world. And he'd do anything for him. And he obviously cared about Elena. It wasn't possible for her to see how, why or how much he cared about her. But he did. And Natalie was slightly grateful for it, because if he hadn't been keeping Elena safe, she didn't know where she would be.

"How long is it going to take for you to get over the fact that I killed your mother?" Damon asked.

"Are you not hearing yourself?" Natalie asked rhetorically.

"Please come over, Natalie. It would mean so much." Elena pleaded.

"Fine. But you're buying me food." Natalie agreed before hanging up.

The Salvatore Boarding House

"Where's Elena?" Natalie asked the older Salvatore, hands on her hips as she had an annoyed facial expression.

"Relax, Buffy, she's on her way." Damon rolled his eyes at the young hunter.

Natalie narrowed her eyes at him as she heard the nickname. "When is she coming?"
