I woke and Soda was gone. I completely forgot he had to work early. I heard muttering and a dresser opening. I looked over and saw a boy grabbing clothes out of a dresser. "Pony? Is that you?", i rubbed my eyes as i sat up. He looked over at me. "Oh my god! You remember me. You rememeber me!", he yelled. "Of course i do. Where have you been for the past week?", i asked. He ran out of the room screaming that i remembered him. I picked a weird best friend.
I climbed out of bed and slowly made my way to the kitchen. Dallas, Johnny, Two-Bit, Pony were all in there. "So you know who this guy is?", Dallas asked, pointing to Pony. "Of course i do. Why wouldnt i recognize him?", i asked. "No reason", he said. "Im going to the DX. Anyone else wanna come?", i asked. "Ill come", Pony said excitedly. Man, its like he hasnt seen me in forever.
The two of us made our way down the road. Pony and i were chatting about school when i bumped into someone. "Im sorry", i said. I looked up at the person i ran into. "Chris?", i asked. "Belle?", he questioned. We both smiled recognizing each other except for Pony. "Whos this guy Belle?", Pony asked. "Is this your boyfriend?", Chris asked. "No actually hes my best friend and boyfriends little brother", i clarified.
"Its nice to meet you. My name is Chris Chambers", Chris introduced himself to Pony. "Ponyboy Curtis", Pony muttered. "Last night, Chris saved me when i got jumped", i explained. "Great", Pony said. "Well i was on my way to meet my friends. Want to join me?", Chris offered. "Well actually..." "That sounds fun!", i said. "But Belle. What about Soda?", Pony asked.
"Pony hes my boyfriend. I practically live at your house. I will see him later. Chris is my new friend. Come on, lets go hang out with him", i said. I didnt feel the same way about Chris as i did for Soda. Chris was just my friend. "Maybe some other time. See ya later", Pony said, and walked away. I followed Chris to a tree house.
Ponys pov
I walked into the DX. Soda was not gonna be happy when he hears what i have to say. He was sitting at the counter, looking extremely bored. His eyes lit up when he saw me walk in. "Hey Pony! Whats up?", he asked. "Nothing really. Belle remembers mr now. Belle came to see you", i said. "Thats great. Where is she?", he wondered. "Oh yeah. That part. She went off with some guy named Chris", i said. "She WHAT!", he asked. "Yeah apparently he saved her last night", i said. "Why didnt you go with her? You could make she is safe", he kept rambling.
"SODA!", I yelled. He stopped and looked at me. "She will come back. Talk yo her then", i suggested. "Yeah, i will", he said. I hung around til Soda was closing shop.
Belles pov
I went up into the tree house with Chris. He did some secret knock and the door opened. I climbed up after him. "Ooo Chambers brought a girl", a guy said. "Shut up Teddy. This is my friend Belle. She has a boyfriend so dont think that we are gonna be anything more than friends", he said. "Hey everyone", i said, sitting down on a chair. "Hi im Gordie. This is Vern and Teddy", Gordie introduced.
"Its nice to meet you guys", i said. "How old are you Belle?", Gordie asked. "Oh im almost seventeen", i said. "Wow im almost nineteen", he said. "So are we", Teddy said. "A few years ago, we all went on an adventure", Vern added. That interested me. "What did you do?", i asked. "We went to find a dead body", Teddy said. "Woah! Thats so cool", i said. "Yeah, we saw him alright, but instead of being heros, we made a phone call instead. It just wasnt right", Gordie explained. "Yeah that makes since", i agreed. I hung out for a few more hours.
"I have to get going", i said. "We'll see you around Belle", Chris said. "See you around", i said. I climbed out of the tree house and headed for Sodas. He was probably going to be worried about where i am. Soon enough, i walked through the door. No one seemed to be home. I went to sit on the couch when Soda stormed into the room. "Where did you go this time?", he asked. "I went to hang out with a friend", i answered. "Dont lie to me. Pony told me everything", he sneered.
"What does Pony know?", i asked. "That your cheating on me!", he yelled. I was taken aback. "Soda i would never cheat on you", i said. "Yes you would. If your just going to lie to me, then you can just leave with your new boyfriend", he said. "So.." "Get outta here!" With tears in my eyes, i fled the house. I kept running towards my house whenbi bumped into someone. I was a klutz and fell. "Im sorry", i said. I got up when the person spoke up. "Belle?" "Chris?" "We have to stop running into each other like this", he smiled until he noticed my tears.
"Hey, whats wrong?", he asked. "M..my boyfriend, Soda thought i was cheating on him with you", i gasped. "Why would he think that? Did you tell him we were just friends?", he asked. "Pony told him. I did tell him, but he doesnt believe me", i cried. "Hey its ok", Chris said, pulling me into a hug. "You and i both know that you and i are just friends. If Soda cant see that then hes stupid", Chris said, trying his best to make me feel better. "I guess your right. Thanks Chris", i said. "Your welcome. Lets get you home", he said. He then carried me back to Eastons.
