Mystery's POV

Adam dropped me off and I gave him my number for whenever he needs to talk to someone. I felt like if we were way more closer and he was becoming more willing to open up.

He left and I headed into the cafe, Drew was sitting in s booth with the two lattes in his hand.

"Hey" he said with smile

"Hey Drew" I greeting him with a smile

"I was worried when I didn't see you in school, you okay?" He said as I sat

I nodded and I remembered my morning with Adam.

"I was dealing with a situation" I allowed as I sipped the latte

"Oh, well I have been meaning to talk to you about something" he began nervous

I nodded and waited for him to continue.

He bit his lip as he hesitated and I sipped the latte.

"I like you a lot and..... I wanted to know if we could go on a date" he said quickly

I jumped and my eyes widen and I put my hand to my mouth to prevent myself from spitting the hot juice on his face.

"I.. , you like me?" I asked after I swallowed

"Yeah, since freshman year" he said blushing lightly

I looked at my fingers around the foam cup

"Why me?" I asked quietly

"Are you kidding, you're so sweet. Kind, caring, incredibly pretty and smart" he said smiling

I blushed lightly and kept quiet, I don't know how to take that.

"You don't have to decided right now, but I needed to let you know" he said taking my hand

"I am flattered, I think that I need some time to think about this first" I said smiling

He nodded and rubbed his thumb on the back of my hand as my cheeks heated

"As long as your thinking about it, I will be waiting" he said

I smiled and nodded, he offered me a ride home and I agreed.

It was quiet with a splash of awkwardness but we pulled up my car was parked in front of my house, bless Chloe.

"Call me when you decide" he said after we parked

"I will" I nodded

He leaned across towards me and warning bells went off in my head, but I relax when he kissed my cheek and smiled at me.

I said my goodbye and went inside, my mother and father weren't home so I headed straight to my room and plopped down in my bed, staring at the ceiling.

My cat named Fairy came in and hopped onto my bed as she settled on my stomach to sleep and I petted her as I thought about today.

I was finally making progress with Adam,

Cassidy is pregnant and her boyfriend doesn't know he is the father,

my brother is coming home Sunday,

my best friend has a crush on him and I think I was failing Maths.

I heard my parents come in and I went down to greet them.

My mother was visabley fuming and my father looked pissed off beyond compare.

"Hey ma, hi Pa, what's the matter?" I asked cautious

"Nothing Mystery, just go to your room, I will call you for dinner" my mother said through clenched teeth

Whoa she must be pissed.

She usually at least tells me hi, but she was practically say fuck off nicely.

My father gave her a stink look at her acid tone and nodded to my bedroom, I felt hurt but ran up to my room.

As soon as I closed the door I heard faint yelling coming from downstairs and I groaned.
