As soon as those words left my mouth I could tell Mystery wasn't gonna take it too well.
I have my reasons of course but it's convincing her of them that will take some time. So I continues to kiss her stomach that held our baby.
"Well, where? When? How?" She rattled off quickly
" I went out while you were in the hospital and asked around, it's a decent cafe not to far away and I'll be training as a mechanic" I said looking up at her from under my lashes
She looked a little less worried at my choice of job and relaxed. It made me happy that she cared so much about my wellbeing just for a job.
"You don't have to feel obligated" she said
"Don't worry mama I just want to provide for you and this baby myself, I want to take care of our family like you took care of me" I said looking into her eyes
She blushed and started blinking a lot, clearly holding back tears as she nodded.
"Your just going through a lot and we haven't finished school, and future father all while dealing with your family.... baby" she says holding my face in her hands
Adoration spilled from her as she looked into my eyes, stoking my face gently.
"I love you" she says
I reached up and kissed her lips gently, savouring the kiss with no rush.
"I love you to.... so much" I replied
With one more kiss I got up completely.
"Time to go " i stated reaching my hand out for her to take
"Go where?" She asked her face scrunched in confusing
"A night out with my lady"
"Ou date night huh" she winked
"Exactly now get your sexy butt ready" I said leaning down and kissing her forehead
"Where are we going?" She asks watching me search for clothes
"Someplace I found when I ran away once, dress warm" I admitted
She nodded and went to her room, thankfully i made food ahead of time so we could eat there.
Within 20 minutes she came downstairs fresh

I picked up the basket of food and car keys holding my hand out for her.
"Lets go" I winked
The ride was silence but a comfortable silence, our hands intertwined on my lap and she looked out at the night. Within 20 more minutes we arrived.
"A Cliffside?" She asked
"Yep" I said simply getting out and getting our stuff.
I knew she wanted to ask questions and she refrained from asking, probably until I brought it up myself which I fully intend on doing.
I laid a blanket and set up our cheesy picnic under the stars, i should get Brownie points for the best date ever.
"This is my first time properly cooking for someone" I admitted feeling my ears turn red
She let out an adorable giggle and dug into the food I've prepared granted they were sandwiches and fruits and Apple sauce.
"Mmmm Yummy" she says as she bit into to sand which
It made me proud I could create something she enjoyed. Note to self Mystery likes B.L.T's more than tuna sand which's.
"I found this place on accident" I told her while she ate
She stopped for a minute and looked at me with her big beautiful eyes and stuffed cheeks.
"During one of my numerous attempts to run away from home, I ran out of gas less than a mile back, there is no good cellphone connection here but people used to come here to camp. Someone left a tent behind and I slept out here, that night I felt a little bit free"
I felt her hand tangle with mine on the blanket and she gave me a small smile.
"The next day I hitched a ride from a passing stranger and went home, I wanted to finish school and do something with my life and show my parents I wasn't worthless.. that i was stronger than what they made me to be and when it gets to be a little to much i find myself here" I ended and turned to look at the endless view of the city before us.
"Thank you for showing me, your spot... really is beautiful" she says quietly laying her head on my shoulder
"This is out spot now, when we want to get away from life let's both come here"
We spent probably two hours on the cliffside, chatting ,making out and basking in each others company before I started packing up.
"Hey" she called as I put the picnic stuff in the trunk
"Hmm?" I mumbles turning to her
I didn't expect her to be so close but she wasted no time tippy toeing and throwing her arms around my neck in a kiss.
"I love you, so much" she expressed as if she wanted to hammer it into my brain
I smiled and missed her again with my arms around her waist.
