It's the little things like your hugs.
Or your warmth, rather.
I was curled up on my couch, wearing the largest hoodie I owned, listening to 505 on repeat. There's something about the Arctic Monkeys on a rainy day that just feels right.
The door bell rang a few times, but I ignored it. It was one of those days where getting up was not a priority.
As Alex's lazy voice lulled me to my happy place, the doorbell kept ringing. I opened the door with bags under my eyes and the intent to blow off whoever was on the other side.
But it was you. (It's always you, somehow). You attacked me with a hug.
And I couldn't tell if I had been cold before or if you just had that affect on me, but I felt warm and cozy the second your over-sized sweater smothered me.
Everything seemed to be better in that instant and nothing was wrong to begin with.
It made me feel complete. Whole.
Loved.
And that's really all that anyone could ever ask for.
