Chapter Two

The rest of the day was frighteningly quiet. The only sounds to be heard were the soft snores of the older man as he had fallen asleep on the couch. Frank sat in the kitchen, his mug of coffee starting to go cold as it had been untouched since he'd made it.

He wondered where he went wrong in the relationship, no why Gerard seemed to do the worst over the littlest things. It made Frank wonder why he was still wrapped around the red head's finger.

It was because he loves him.

Love causes you to stupid things. Frank was the victim of an unhealthy relationship, he and all the people around him knew that.... Except the person causing the relationship to be unhealthy.

Frank wanted to leave but found himself running back into Gerard's comforting, yet angry arms. No matter what punishment given, Frank couldn't bring himself to walk away. He wasn't strong enough.

Frank out his head in his hand, trying to think of some way to make things right with his partner. He remembered how things were when they first started dating. That was the way he wished things were now.

He and Gerard would take walks in the rain, they loved to push each other in puddles and laugh loudly. They loved to annoy their neighbors, who would eventually yell at them to stop making so much noise.

They never dared to bring an umbrella.... It would defeat the purpose. Frank loved the feeling of heavy rain pelting down on him. He loved the way Gerard would jump in puddles and kick the water.

A smile crept onto Frank's face, soon vanishing at the sound of blankets ruffling, signaling Gerard had awoken. He could only imagine the mood Gerard would be in right now.

He had absolutely no hope for good things to happen in the near future.

-Time Lapse-

"Ray please! Open the door!" A broken, bruised Frank banged on the door of his only friend's house. Sobs escaped out of his mouth and tears fell from his black eyes. His nose was bleeding and his body was littered with bruises.

The door soon opened and a bewildered Ray pulled in Frank me shut the door. Ray wasted no time sitting him down on the couch before running to get a wet paper towel.

Frank clutched his aching body and let himself sob uncontrollably, the events that took place just minutes ago still too fresh in his mind.

"Here." Ray pressed the moist towel to Frank's nose. Ray thought about whether or not he should ask what Gerard dos this time.

Yes, this time.

This isn't the first time Frank has shown up to his door beaten. It's happened multiple occasions yet Frank is always crawling back to Gerard after he apologizes.

"What happened this time?" Ray questioned, concern filling his eyes eyes. He felt nothing but sympathy towards the younger boy.

"It all started when he woke up. He came into the kitchen and he started talking to me about how I'd feel if we ever broke up......."

"And?" Ray pushed.

"......... I said I'd feel safer........."
