The Fray was currently blasting through my truck's old, worn down speakers while I was drumming my fingers along to the beat on the steering wheel. I had left early so I wouldn't be late on my first day of work.

Yesterday, Niall and I had been watching Orange is the New Black all day long, he was absolutely fascinated by it, I think he was mostly fascinated by Ruby Rose though, if you ask me. We had decided to ignore the letter for now. If anything happened, Niall would be by my side within a second to defend me, he had told me. I had a good night of sleep last night, just because I knew he was there, watching over me. It was quite soothing.

Maybe Ethan had just played a sick joke on me, just because he wanted to rip open the wound again, but I wasn't going to let a douchebag like him get to me, not again.

So, here I am, on my way to the first day of my first job. I was quite nervous to be honest, what if I screw up? I get nervous and I start to shake and then I drop things or bump in to people. I chuckled softly as I imagined dropping a plate of food on someone.

--------------------

I turned off the engine and grabbed my bag, getting out of my suddenly very comfortable feeling truck. I took a deep breath as I started to walk towards the little restaurant called Bob's Burger. I only talked to the owner, I haven't actually met any of the other employees. Hopefully they're nice, maybe I can make a few friends for a change. I opened the door and was immediately greeted by a tall, curly haired waiter.

"Hello! Welcome to Bob's Burger, how can I help you? He spoke, his voice sounding a bith rough, like he had a cold.

"Hi, I'm actually here for my first day of work? I talked to the owner a while ago..?" I replied, a little uncertain. Hadn't he told the other employees about me?

"Oh, yes of course, you must be Riley." He smiled, sticking out his hand, which I took. "I'm Harry Styles, it's nice to meet you."

"Riley Clark." I smiled as I looked up at him, the dude was tall.

"Well, Riley, just follow me. I'll show you the drill." He said as he motioned for me to follow him, which I did.

He took me to a small room in the back of the restaurant where he gave me a uniform, the same uniform he was wearing. I don't know if you could really call it a uniform though, it was a simple black shirt with the restaurant's logo on it.

"This is a small, you look like a small so I think it'll fit you." He smiled while handing me the shirt.

"Thanks." I took off my blouse and put it on. It indeed, fit perfectly.

"Alright! Now that's settled, we're going to clock you in. I think Charles already put you in the system so it shouldn't be a problem." He said while messing with a small machine that was attached to the wall. "There it is! Alright, when you arrive, just turn on this little device, the password is 10749. Then, when it's logged in, tap on your name and and you should be done." He clocked me in and wrote down the password on a small piece of paper for me. He handed it to me and I thanked him, I'd surely forget it if he wouldn't have written it down for me.

"Okay, got it, thanks." I gave him a small smile which he returned. He really made me feel comfortable, maybe we could become friends.

The rest of the day was filled with me learning how to serve people properly, thanks to Harry, I got it pretty fast and I actually enjoyed it. He introduced me to the other emplyees, who were all thrilled that I had joined their little team.

It was seven pm when my shift was over and I walked back to the room in the back of the restaurant, Harry following close behind because his shift had ended as well. We clocked ourselves out and grabbed our stuff before walking out.

We were chatting about nothing special when I saw my truck.

A flat tire, great, just great.

"I could give you a ride, if you want? My car's right over there." He said while pointing at a black, slightly worn out SUV.

"If you don't mind, that would be great." I responded when it started to rain. After a few seconds it was already pouring down. We looked at each other before we took off, running towards his car while laughing hysterically. He opened the door for me and I got in, him closing the door for me as well before he ran to the other side and got in as well.

We looked at each other for a few seconds before doubling over in laughter again.

"Look at your hair!" He hiccuped while pointing at my wet hair that was sticking out in different directions.

"Excuse me? Look at yours!" I laughed while pointing at his hair.

After a few minutes of laughing and pointing out each other's ugliness, he started the car and we took off.

"What's your adress?" He asked me while starting to mess with his navigation system.

"It's Orchard road 23, it's close to the-" I started but he interrupted me before I could finish.

"I know where it is." He spoke and sat up straight again. The mood in the car seemed to have changed completely. Harry was no longer laughing, he wasn't even smiling. No, he seemed almost sad.

But then I remembered.

*Flashback*

"I walked up the steps of the front porch at 4.19 pm. I remember because I got a text from my best mate, Harry, just before I was going to open the front door."

*End Flashback*

I was currently sitting in the car with Niall's best friend.
