Riley's P.O.V.

I never believed in a place called heaven. A place where supposedly everyone was happy and at peace, it just seemed unrealistic, you know? But now that I'm here, I can say without a doubt that every story you hear is true and you should not fear death, for the part that comes after is beautiful.

Now, you might be a little confused. The last time you heard of me, I was sitting on a couch with Niall, listening in on Harry's conversation with Niall's grandfather over the phone. Remember when he said that Bobby's brother was not actually his son? How the name of the child was Jeff? I hope you do.

Let me tell you what happened.

10 years earlier.

The room around me starts to spin as realisation hits me like a truck. Jeff, as in officer Jeff Dawson. The man who I was supposed to trust, who was an enforcer of the law, killed four people, four innocent people. I can faintly feel Niall grabbing me by my shoulders as I start to hyperventilate, all of this too much to handle for my already traumatised mind. How did I not see it? How could I have missed it? Of course they found no fingerprints other than my own and Jeff's when the letters were sent to the lab. He knew that I would take them to the station and show them to him, he knew that when his fingerprints would be found on the letters, it would be justified because he took them from me when I allowed him to read them.

But he was the one who wrote them in the first place. He was the one who killed Niall and his parents. And eight years later he killed Ethan, afterwards dumping him on my porch as to send me a message. Why would he kill his brother, his sister in law and their son? What kind of twisted mind would allow it's body to take such actions against their family? Or against anyone for that matter?

"Riley!"

I'm ripped out of my trance by Niall who is roughly shaking me by my shoulders, worry filling his eyes. "Yes?" I whisper, my thoughts still jumping from one side to the other. I can feel my breathing starting to slow down to a normal amount of intakes per minute.  "You were hyperventilating, what the hell's going on? Do you know someone named Jeff? Talk to me!" He moves some hair away from my face that had fallen in front of my eyes while I lean back agains the couch.

"Don't you remember? The police man? Officer Jeff Dawson?" I whisper as I try to make him remember. He came with me to see the man once before after all. Niall is silent for a few seconds before his eyes widen. He quickly stands up as his breathing intensifies and his eyes start to shift from their beautiful blue that I have come to love to the terrifying black that I used to fear. He paces around the room restlessly as he mumbles to himself, the only thing I can make out is, "I'll send him straight to hell!" He keeps repeating the same words over and over again until I can't take it anymore and jump up. "Niall, stop!" I scream while pulling him into my arms and hiding my face in his chest. He is completely stiff for a moment before I hear him sigh and feel him wrapping his arms around my smaller frame, leaning his head on top of mine as he slowly comes back to his senses.

"I will kill him Riley, in the most gruesome way someone has every been killed. He will rot in hell for what he did to my family and I, for what he did to you." He whispers the last part as he takes my face in his hands, placing a kiss on my forehead. "I don't know what to do anymore, Niall. He's been there for all this time and I didn't see it, I trusted him." I mumble, still dumbfounded. I can see Niall is about to say something as he opens his mouth but he stops before he does. His eyes move to my front door, his face struck with panick. I turn around right as the smell of burning wood fills my nostrils and makes my eyes water as the smoke hits them.
