"Okay you actually really need to calm down. It's not a big deal really! They don't start mattering until like week 8."

"You say that now." I look at Winter "Then why do they have the stupid list?"

"Don't even look at it." She smiles at me. "Just go out there and do your best." I nod. Lane walks in and his cockiness just makes everything worse.

"You think you can keep up Cassie?"

"Lane now is not the time." Winter glares at him. I take in deep breaths.

"Whats wrong?" He actually looks concerned.

"Just nerves." I whisper out of breath.

"Okay Cassie you need to calm down. Take deep breaths. What do you normally do before going on stage?" I take deep breaths and think about his question. Usually I'm not preforming a new genre that I only learned less than a week ago, but I usually listen to music and get my head into my character, but this number doesn't really have characters, just movements.

"Listen to music." I gasp out. I grab my phone and some headphones out of my bag and click shuffle. Music fills my ears and calms me down. We have less then an hour until we are on stage. I go through the number in my head over and over so I don't mess up. When the number before our leaves the stage my heart drops as Lane and I walk on the stage.

"Please welcome to the stage Cassandra and Lane! They will be doing a Lyrical Hip Hop number." We take the stage. The music starts and I'm crazy nervous. I dance with Lane and get fully into it. I think we actually did pretty good. When we get off the stage Lane picks me up smiling. I laugh happy that it's over. We both realize what is happening and Lane puts me down. He clears his throat and we leave the back stag area.

"That was amazing!" Winter shouts almost plowing me over while hugging me.

"Thanks."

"You guys were perfect." Simon smiles as I hug him too.

"She was alright." Lane shrugs it off.

"Better than I could have done." Winter states. I see Lane walk over to Shelli and Cameron. They talk but they keep on looking back at me and I can see Lane getting angry. Shelli rolls her eyes and I turn to ignore her. I don't need her negativity in my life. Winter takes me back out to the audience so I can watch other couples preform. I don't think Lane and I were the best but I also don't think that we were the worst.

By the time everyone is done and sitting in the auditorium they have the list up of the top five dances of the night. I look and I don't know why I was shocked. "This year we have decided to rank all the way to fifteen. This way you will know exactly where you stand." The head of the camps voice is booming on the intercom. One by one the numbers show up revealing who got which place.
