"You ready for our date on Saturday Cassie?"

"Lane!"

"Okay guys so this piece is about two people. One of them is still in love with the other. That is you Cassandra. Lane is trying to leave you and you are doing everything you can to prevent it from happening but in the end it's still not enough."

"That's a tad bit depressing." I say aloud.

"Don't worry Cassie I would never leave you." Lane winks at me and I roll my eyes playfully. He has been super flirty since asking me out on that date. We start rehearsals. Both of us work hard and we have an infectious energy. Our choreographer loves it.

"Alright that's what I'm talking about." He gives Lane a pat on the back. "How've you been kid?"

"Awesome. Got a good new partner." Lane laughs pointing at me.

"Yea Danica would never do hip hop. You struck gold this year." The choreographer winks at me and I feel so awkward.

"Thanks." I force a smile and Lane laughs.

"Well you guys are dismissed for the night. Good first rehearsal." I nod him before going to stretch out quickly. I watch as Lane and him talk like they are old friends. After ten minutes I grab my bag and leave the room before going back to my room. I felt almost like a third wheel with them. Like they have some secret romance I don't know about. I shrug it all off.

I head towards the meal hall. When I get there I go and sit with our group. I sit beside Tiffany and Winter is across from me. We chat about our days and talk about our new numbers. They tell me the concept of theirs and I listen excitedly. I like to imagine the pieces in my head. They usually don't end up looking anything like they said but it makes me feel like maybe some day I could be a choreographer and share my vision with people all around the world.

I finish all my food listening as the guys talk about the next video game tournament. I find myself thinking about how close Lane and our new choreographer are. I wonder if Lane and him are friends outside of the camp and maybe that's why they seem so close.

I feel a light tap on my leg and look up to see both Tiffany and Winter staring at me. "Sorry, zoned out." I sigh bringing my head back down to earth. I know I missed what ever was said to me but I feel lately I've been more out of it than usual.

"So what are we going to dress you up like?" Winter asks me.

"What do you mean?"

"Is it a casual date or formal or maybe intimate?"

"Winter!" I kick her under the table. She laughs at me and my reaction. I can feel the heat in my cheeks giving away that I'm feeling embarrassed and flustered about the idea of Lane and I being intimate.

"What it's a serious question."

"One that I don't know the answer to. I have no idea what type of date it is. He didn't tell me."

"One second." Winter smiles behind me and gets up. I watch as she walks over to Lane who just now entered the meal hall. I watch as they talk for a moment. Winter laughs at him and turns to look at us. She winks at me before waving over her shoulder to him. She walks back to our table and as she approaches she says "Easy as pie."
