Wednesday we blew the roof off the cabin it was so much fun and I swear no one in the cabin was expecting what Lane and I brought to the table. It was so much fun to do as well just for fun it makes me love hip hop a little more and I instantly know I want to do another hip hop number at the cabin really soon.
Thursday and Friday pass and we perfect our number. The choreographer actually apologizes again for his rude comments day one. He loves what we have done with the piece and says Lane and my chemistry is just what the number needed to bring it alive which is something Lane and I don't hear every day so we take it.
Saturday I'm doing my hair when Lane walks in. "What do you think?" I ask him doing a twirl on the balls of my feet. He comes up behind me a wraps his arms around my waist and kisses the top of my head.
"Sexy." He smirks at me as I roll my eyes and try to shove him off me so I can show him the front of my outfit better. He least go as I turn to face him. He checks me out. "Yup defiantly sexy."
"Shut up!" I laugh at him.
"What it's the truth I have the sexiest girlfriend ever." I find myself trying to fight a smile.
"You ready?"
"Of course. Think you can keep up?"
"Oh I know I can." I smirk at our little banter. His smile takes my breath away and his eyes change.
"Is that so?" He asks and steps towards me so we are face to face. I watch as his eyes wonder to my lips. I wouldn't be mad if this was our first kiss. But of course we had to be interrupted.
"You two have 20 minutes until you are on stage." I nod to the stage man as Lane steps away from me.
"Want to go wait back stage?" He asks me. I'm a little sad he didn't want to tease me anymore.
"Sure." I say as we leaving the dressing area. I see Shelli waiting back stage and she hasn't even said anything to me or even looked at me since what happened in studio 13 on Monday. I watch as she ignore Lane and I. After everything she has put us through I feel like it's a blessing in disguise because the last thing I want to do is talk to her and Cameron and psych myself out. Lane grabs my hand and turns me to look at him.
"Nervous?" He asks me quietly.
"No I think we got this." I tell him.
"Me too." The smirk spreads across his face and I find it contagious. I'm excited for this number it's fast, fun and very technical and I love that. We watch as Shelli and Cameron walk on stage and perform their number but I can't focus on their dance with Lane holding my hand. I watch as the walk off stage and I make sure I don't spare them a second glance. Lane and I walk out onto the stage and we both get into our starting positions. The music starts and me feet move like they have a mind of their own.
The dance goes fast. The beginning there are a lot of Lane tossing me in the air and we hit all the right beats as we do it. The dance goes on and we get towards the end the very technically challenging part that I always dread but I hit everything perfectly. We end the number and I walk away from Lane as he sits on the ground back in his starting position. After a few seconds he follows me. I get off stage and start jumping up and down knowing we nailed that routine!
"You were perfect!" Lane laughs as I stop jumping.
"So were you! That's definitely the best we ever performed it!" I can't stop smiling.
"Let's go!" Lane grabs my hand as we run to go and join our friends in the audience section. We get there just as Tiffany and Walter finish. Aaron gives Lane a fist bump. I watch as Winter and Simon walk on stage. Their dance is almost as high energy as ours and they do just as amazing. Tiffany and Walter join us just as Winter and Simon walk off the stage.
