Frank. Hester. Claws. Rager.
He didn't recognize any of it, yet it was in his mind. It kept coming back and he felt a sense of deja vu. He knew them. Somewhere, sometime, somehow.
Nick was sitting in front of his computer and he continued his work, ignoring the thoughts. He tapped and clicked and paused to adjust his glasses from time to time.
His room was cramped with junks, mostly paper. He stood up suddenly and navigated his way to find a large textbook. He sat back down and opened the book quietly. A piece of paper fell down and he curiously picked it up.
It was a picture of him feeding a dog so large he had to lay down to reach for the meat. The dog's fur was white with gray patches. It looked almost like a Siberian husky or an Alaskan malamute, but he wasn't sure, there was certainly no dog that could grow that big.
He continued to examine the picture, wondering when he took it. He never remembered meeting a dog that huge, because he was sure if he did, he won't be able to forget it. And those eyes. They were bloodshot and definitely scary.
The dog was looking into the camera, eyeing the piece of meat he held in front of his own camera. As he looked closely at the piece of meat, he realized it was an ear of another, bigger dog, still bloodied and freshly cut.
His heart hammered with terror. His stomach churned with a feeling of dread and he was sure that he wouldn't be able to sleep.
When was this? How did it get here? How could I?
What was that?
The dog's eyes shone bright red for a second and voices filled his mind.
'Let me out!' said the loudest.
The dog snarled and the photograph went blank. It was white before completely changing to a whole different picture, him and his family playing monopoly at Christmas.
Now, that was what he remembered.
But what was that monster?
