"Why am I here?" I demand, trailing along behind him. He ignores my question and continues to walk down the narrow corridor to a destination I was still to find out about. "Hey, answer me damn it!" I shout, grabbing his shoulder and spinning him around to face me. His face darkens with anger at my touch, and I slowly remove my hand.
"I don't have to tell you anything, darling. I can easily dispose of you, and it would do you well to remember that." He snarled before turning back around and walking even faster down the high arched hallway.
I now almost have to run in order to keep up with his long strides, and if he notices my struggling, he makes no effort to slow his pace. Eventually we reach a doorway and stop, with me having to lean over to re-catch my breath. "Come." He beckons calmly, pushing open the heavy looking timber door. What in the hell is wrong with this guy, is he bipolar?
I roll my eyes as I walk towards the newest doorway. Was
He lets out a small chuckle in my ear, and I jump at how close he was to me. Does this guy have no concept of personal space?
"Okay, first of all, back up a little bit. Ever heard of personal space?" I start, " Now look here, Bucko, I don't know who you are, where I am or what I am doing here, but I do know that I want to go home. So please, whatever you planned on doing, do it, and let me go back to my normal life."
He narrows his cerulean eyes at me and inhales deeply through his nose and pulls a hand through his blonde hair, trying to come up with a response to my demand. "Sorry, darling, I have no intentions of letting you go. Ever." He purrs, reaching up and dragging the back of his fingers lightly from my temple down to my jaw. My lips quivers and I feel my eyes pricking with tears.
"Why won't you let me go? What have I done to make you hate me?"
"Quite the contrary, darling. I do not hate you, I want to keep you. You were born to be mine. You were born to rule. You were born to be the Queen of Hell." He murmurs seductively, staring at me with hooded eyes.
"What the hell? What do you mean?"
"You ask a lot of questions, don't you?" He mutters insensitively. "It was your destiny. You don't realise it, darling, but this life was chosen for you long before you were even born."
I shake my head in disbelief. This guy was actually mental if he thought he was actually the 'King of Hell', and I was his 'Queen' or some shit. "Yeah, okay, you keep believing that, weirdo."
"You don't believe me?" He questions, walking past me to sit at a long table I hadn't noticed yet. The table was almost bending underneath the weight from the piles of what was possibly the most decadent looking foods I had ever seen in my life. I follow the blonde man's suit, sitting at the seat across from him, shaking my head at his question. He looked at me broodingly, a finger pressed to his chin.
"Then how would I know your name is Eve? And that you don't like you name, because although most people associate it with the story of Adam and Eve, you can only think of Eve as the Mother of All, the Mother of Monsters." He says with a smirk.
I felt eyes widen. I hadn't told anyone that, how could he have possibly known that? "H-how did you-?" The man promptly cuts me off before I could finish the question, waving off my stuttered question with a graceful swat.
"Darling, it's all fore planned. I am very ancient, my dear. I know all the stories, all the legends that surround the start of this world. I lived it. And let me tell you, darling, it isn't pretty."
"Tell me who you are. Now." I demand, standing up from the table. He sucks in a lip, watching me closely. He wasn't going to answer. "Fine then, I'm leaving." I step back from the table, threatening to leave further. He glances up at me, trying to decide whether to tell me. I see his teeth nibbling gently on his bottom lip, playing with a black lip ring I hadn't noticed earlier.
"I am the first fallen angel." He finally says. I quirk my head to the side in confusion. Was that supposed to mean anything to me? "Darling, my name is Lucifer. But you can call me Luke."
