I had been walking down this damned hallway for what felt like hours, and yet I was still to pass a door that was unlocked or open. Every ten feet or so a new door would appear, but every door I tried to open was blocked.

That didn't mean I didn't hear anything though.

Behind each door I heard an array of different noises, some simple, mumbled ramblings, others screaming for people I've never met. The voices always changed, some sounded ancient and weary, others desperate and young; but the most chilling were the ones that sounded like children. What possible reason could children be down here for?

Those were the doors I was most desperate to open, those were the people I wanted to help most. If I was going to escape, they were the ones I was going to bring with me.

But it didn't matter how many times I tugged on the heavy doors, they never gave an inch. Not one. Eventually I gave up on trying to open the doors, despite how much it broke me to do so. I trudged on, picking up my pace slightly. If Luke and his followers hadn't noticed my disappearance before, they certainly should have by now. And speak of the devil- literally- I hear his voice.

"Eve?" He calls. I whirl around in the dark, expecting to see him standing close behind me invading my personal space like usual. I don't see him anywhere and I begin to panic. Was he invisible, or had I finally crossed the line into insanity?

"Luke?" I called back, looking up and down the seemingly endless hallway. "Luke, are you there?"

"Eve, where are you?" I hear his voice once again, the tone of it saturated in relief. "Eve, are you alright? Did he find you?" Looking either way, I still see no sign of Luke. He was surely invisible, right? Should I even be replying to him? I was trying to find an escape after all. It looked like that plan went down the drain, I had been travelling for hours and was yet to come across anything that looked like an exit.

"I-I don't know where I am." I answered truthfully, feeling like an idiot for speaking to thin air. "And who would find me? Is someone trying to rescue me?" I can't help but let the excitement flood my voice.

Luke ignores my questions, asking once again if I'm okay. "Yes, Luke, I'm fine. I just don't know where I am. And why can't I see you?"

"That doesn't matter right now, I'll explain when I find you. Just... describe where you are for me, I'll find where you are that way."

"Okay, um, it's a dark hallway."

"Darling, you are going to need to be more specific. You're in Hell, every where in this place has a dark hallway. Are there any doors near you?"

Glancing around, I look at the door closest to me. "Yeah, there are heaps of doors. Now what?"

"Do they have any symbols on them? Names? Dates?" Luke's voice asks. Surely, if he were invisible and talking to me, he would know where we were? Ignoring the questions popping into my mind, I look closer to the door I am next to.

And that's where I see it; down near the door handle is a name and date carved into the heavy wood. "Clarence Ackles," I read aloud, "The date says August 17, 1663."

I hear Luke's voice mumble the name and numbers a few times over before he lets out a knowing gasp. "Stay where you are," He demands, "I'll be there in a moment. I know where you are."
