Chapter 17

Cheryl's POV

Me and Kimba stared at Mel, both not knowing what to say.

I don't know whether or not she is being serious. She could be making a joke or she could have actually heard something.

Neither of us said anything causing a smirk to form on Mel's face.

Realising one of us needed to say something to make us look innocent I spoke up.

"What?"

Mel opened her mouth to say something but one of the producers came over.

"Kimberley your needed in the audition room for a few interviews and if the rest of you can make your way to the stage that would be good because the auditions will start again in 2 minutes."

Mel smirked at me and Kim before getting up and going to fix her hair and make up in the mirror.

Kim stood up beside me so I turned to face her.

"Just act normal and remember what we said."

That's all she said before she walked away so I tried to do what she said. Just act normal.

I wonder if Mel actually knows about us or is she just messing around with us. A few nights ago me and Kim talked about this. We decided we weren't going to tell anyone but if someone found out we weren't gonna make a big deal about it. If people knew, then they knew.

I got up and followed Simon and Louis as they left the room and started walking the long walk to the auditions.

There was a camera in front of us filming us walking so I talked to Simon and Louis and acted as normal as I could. They seemed to buy it because neither of them said anything.

We had only walked about a quarter of the way before Mel caught up to us.

"Cheryl? Can I have a quick word?"

"Sure."

We slowed down a bit so the camera couldn't hear us anymore but they could still see us in the background.

Simon and Louis were in front of us saying something to the camera about us always gossiping and that we are probably making a plan right now to team up on the boys but I really didn't care what they were saying.

"So I'm guessing you had fun before?"

"Mel, I don't know what..." She cut me off before I could say anything else.

"Cheryl, don't. We both know that you know what I am on about."

I smiled at her, she always seemed to know everything. I don't know how I thought we could fool her, Simon and Louis were easy to fool but not Mel.

"How long have you been together?"

"Just under a month."

"Aww!" She squealed in delight and hugged me causing Simon and Louis to stop walking and turn to look at us.

"Are you two ok?"

"Yeah fine, Cheryl was just told me about her..." I knew what she was about to say so I put my hand over her mouth stopping her.

Simon and Louis waited for me to say something I so I had to think quickly.

"...my new music. I was just telling her about it."

Mel looked at me with a knowing look, she gave me an apologetic look and she seemed to get that me and Kimba didn't really want people to know about us yet.
