Kim's POVMe and Cheryl parted ways the next morning after having breakfast together with everyone else.
I would have rather had it with just Cheryl but once we went downstairs we were joint by everyone else. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be though, it was quite entertaining and it was nice to see a smile on Cheryl's face.
I have to admit I would have never said some of the things I said the night before without alcohol and I'm glad I said them.
We agreed for now we would just be friends until things become less complicated but I can't help but worry about her being alone with Jean.
I was fine until the moment I watched Cheryl being driven away, knowing that she was going back to Jean.
It's been a few days since I last saw her but we've been texting back and forth since then.
I've just pulled up in her driveway after she invited me over for lunch.
As soon as I step out of the car I see the front door open revealing an excited Cheryl.
She stands there looking at me with the biggest smile on her face as I'm walking up to her. As I get closer she moves back so I can come in the house and once I'm in and the door is closed she practically jumps on me to hug me.
Her arms go round my neck and I feel myself falling back slightly but I manage to stay upright with Cheryl in my arms.
"You alright there?"
"Yeah, just happy to see you...Why aren't you happy to see me?" As she finishes the sentence I can almost hear the self doubt in her voice and she pulls away from me.
However before she gets too far I wrap my arms back around her waist so she can't go anywhere. "Of course I am." She responds by once again wrapping her arms around my neck.
"If I'm completely honest I'm surprised you didn't run out to the car to hug me once you saw me, I could see it in your eyes that you wanted to."
"I did, but there has been paps hanging round her recently, I didn't want any of them to get the wrong ideas."
"Oh ok, I understand."
"Anyway enough about them, cup of tea?"
"Go on then."
I follow her into the kitchen and I can't help smile at how happy she is. I don't think she realises that she does it but every now and then she does a little jump in her step.
--
Me and Cheryl had been sat in her dining room talking for at least an hour after just finishing our lunch.
She had ordered takeaway because she didn't think she would be able to cook something that was actually edible. Her words, not mine.
I found it sweet that she was obviously worried about whether or not I would like her cooking so she ordered takeaway instead.
We agreed that next time I'd come over a bit earlier and help her cook the meal so she didn't have to do that again.
During the meal we had been talking about anything that came to mind, from the X Factor to our childhoods.
I was just helping Cheryl take the plates back into the kitchen when I noticed a cookery book open on the counter.
I picked it up and noticed the page it was open to was how to make a chocolate cake.
She came to stand beside me and then must have realised what I was looking at because she blushed slightly but I wasn't sure why she blushed.
"Why are you blushing?"
