Chapter 29

Cheryl's POV

It's not often I wake up before Kimberley.

She's usually awake before me but today I found myself waking up early.

I let her sleep for a while and lay down next to her. It's the least I could do after how much she's been there for me recently.

She's made so much stuff easier for me to handle and I would have really struggled if she wasn't here.

After the producers of the X factor heard what had happened with Jamie they wanted him off straight away.

Apparently he had been inappropriate with one of the backstage staff too.

Once they had heard of what had happened it took them a day to sort out all the legal stuff and Jamie was gone.

The show is going to release a statement saying he's had to leave due to personal reasons and apparently part of the contract that he signed before starting the live shows means that he can't say anything different.

I haven't seen him since that night and I was very happy about that.

Kimba's been amazing through it all, she's not left my side which I'm extremely greatful for.

It's been a week since then and whenever something relating with the whole incident had come up she had done her best to distract me.

I rest my head on her shoulder and even though she's asleep she still wraps her arms around me so I can cuddle into her.

It makes me smile that even while she's asleep she still likes contact with me.

With nothing to do I start to daydream for a while thinking about my day ahead.

Kimberley has to go into the studio around lunchtime to film parts for the later show but I didn't need to be there until tea time.

I thought I was going to have nothing to do and was considering going with Kimberley to watch her until Nicola had text me asking me if I wanted to go shopping with her.

I'm not gonna lie it did surprise me that she choose to ask me seeing as she was technically Kimberley's friend.

I do get on with the girls really well but I had never spent time with them without Kimberley so I was looking forward to our shopping trip.

Nicola said she needed a dress for her upcoming fashion show and she needed advice which I was happy to give.

I had mentioned to Kimberley the other night that I found it cute how close they all were but she had stopped me from talking about their friendship insisting that the girls now saw me as a close friend too.

They seem like amazing girls so I was very happy of this. They were very easy to get on with and I could tell they were genuine, something which I find hard to come across when I meet new people nowadays.

I don't know how long I've laid here for but I'm starting to get bored.

I sit up on my elbows so I'm still cuddled into Kimberley but now I'm able to see her face.

She hasn't moved and I can tell from her deep breathing that she's still asleep but I selfishly want attention from her.

I take a deep breath, filling my lungs with air before slowly blowing it across her face hoping that the gentle touch will wake her up.
