Cheryl's POV

Simon's eyes don't move from mine and it stays silent around us as everyone else seems to desperately want to hear what Simon is going to say next.

I never really understood the saying of 'so quiet you could hear a pin drop' but I get it now, there is no noise as everyone waits for either me or Simon to say something.

I slowly drop my hand from Simon's mouth and make sure I speak before he gets the chance.

"I know exactly what your gonna be thinking but just remember nobody knows so we would both appreciate it if you don't say anything right now and I'll talk to you about it later?"

He nods his head but won't stop staring at me and everyone stays silent.

It's turned into the awkward kind of silence, I just want somebody to say something so we can hopefully move on from this conversation, luckily for me Kimberley speaks up.

"Well that's interesting, Cheryl you've found a way to shut Simon up."

Everyone starts laughing, including Simon, and I smile at Kimberley.

I can tell we are both thinking two things; the first is that we're both glad for the distraction and the second is well...f*ck.

--

The camera cuts off signalling the break and the end of our time on camera.

There is a quiet buzz of noises around us as the audience starts talking between themselves getting ready to go apart from the few people seated just behind the desk who listen in and try to hear some gossip. Just as they always do.

"I'll see you guys later."

Kimberley gets up from her seat and smiles at us all before leaving, unlike us the the break doesn't mean for that her time on camera is over, she's still got another 45 minutes left in front of the camera.

She smiles at me before leaving, just as she always does.

I try not to watch her walk off knowing that I'm not gonna be able to talk to her for the next 45 minutes but I know I'm gonna have to do some explaining to Simon.

As if he could read my thoughts he turns to face me.

"I think we need a talk, don't you?"

The look on his face is only one I could describe as a smug one, I could tell he was very happy that he had figured out what everyone else wanted to know.

He stood up so I did the same, I grabbed my phone from the desk and followed him to the corridor with all the dressing rooms on.

He stopped for a few people just to say a few words and then he just kept on walking.

I walked behind him feeling like I was back at school, I felt like I was on the way to the head teachers office and I was about to get told off for something that I had done.

I follow Simon down the corridor towards his dressing room and for once we aren't talking or joking around.

I don't know how he is going to react, I'm worried incase he doesn't like the fact that me and Kimberley are in a relationship.

I know he's not homophobic, so I don't need to worry there, but I do know that he thinks that work and relationships don't mix.

We get to his dressing room and he enters straight away.

I smile to his body guard that is always outside of his room and then enter the room.

The door closes behind me and Simon slumps on the sofa before looking up at me.
