Chapter 12: Training

Foxy's POV

All of us walked to me cove behind the lass. Her face was serious as we watched her close me curtain.

"Watch carefully," she requested as her eyes went dark. She waved her hands around and a dark wall of weapons formed.

"Ok, guys, first off before we start, who wants to learn martial arts?" she clapped her hands together. Goldie and I were the first of the lads to step forward, followed by Bonnie and Bonbon, Balloon Boy, both Freddies, Chica, and Marionette. Shadow was utterly surprised.

"Chica, are you sure you want to do this? It takes patience," the lass asked. Chica bowed as a response.

"OK, so, let's get started. Goldie, Foxy, since you boys were first to step up, approach the weapons," she told us. Goldie sidled up to the wall and a long stick glowed gold and floated down to him.

"The bo staff. An excellent weapon for fast combat. Allow me to demonstrate with my own." Me girlfriend pulled out her own staff and began to twirl it. Her skills be very impressive.

"Try it," she gestures to his staff. He takes it in his hands and begins spinning it. A few seconds pass, and he looks like he got the hang of it, but then he smacks it right where the sun doesn't shine, screaming high.

"Oooohhh, that's gotta hurt," Mangle cringed. Goldie falls to his side, tears escaping his silver eyes. Shadow whines and helps him up.

"Do not worry, Goldie. You'll have to practice before you get it. Now Foxy, come forth," she points to me. Nervously, I inch to the weapons. None react, until I move to me right. A sword glows red and places itself in me hand.

"Ah, a ninjoto. The second longest sword behind the katana. Now, watch as I demonstrate," she shows me how to use it. I raise me hand and perform. I'm surprised at me own skills.

"Well done, Foxy. Stand by Goldie," the lass applauds. I feel great.

Bonbon's POV

After Foxy was presented his weapon, Bonnie was eager to get his. He rushed to the wall and a weird-looking blade presented itself to him.

"This is very rare. You have received a pata, a Japanese gauntlet sword. In all my years of training, no one I know has ever used this weapon. You must have a great soul to possess this," she told him. He stepped out of the way. It was my turn. When I walked up, immediately two fork-looking things shot at me.

"Sai, a pair of weapons fit for a fierce heart. Try them." I got a grip on my sai and began to perform. I was amazing. I moved over and let Toy Freddy come up. He got nunchucks.

"Nunchaku. Skilled warriors use these. Now, watch as I demonstrate," she informed. (play video) When she finished, Toy Freddy tried it, and hit himself in the face, making his nose bleed.

"Like the bo staff, you must train with nunchaku. Freddy, if you will." He moved up, and a pair of spiky half rings floated down.

"Bagh naka, similar to brass knuckles. Great weapons for heated hand-to-hand combat." Chica stepped up, and a folded fan came down.

"The Japanese war fan. A weapon for a kunoichi, or female ninja, which is what I am. Observe," she showed her how to use it and Chica copied her perfectly. Next was BB, and he got a chain thing with a blade at one end.

"The kusarigama, similar to nunchaku. One must be careful when using this weapon," she warned.

"Finally is Marionette." Marionette came forward and a bow and quiver of arrows came down.

"The marikumi yumi, a Japanese ninja's bow. Now we are done giving weapons. Now, those of you who need to practice with your weapons, come see me. The rest of you, talk amongst yourselves or watch," Shadow finished. Goldie, Toy Freddy, Bonnie, Balloon Boy and I walked to the stage with Shads.

"OK, boys, listen carefully. I'll work with Goldie first, then those of you who I determine who need more help I will pull you aside. Got it?" We nodded. After ten minutes, when Goldie made to redo his effort, he did it perfectly, and he didn't hit himself again.

"Great job, Goldie! Keep practicing, and you will get better. Now, next I want to work with BB," she congratulated. Balloon Boy grabbed his kasarugimana or whatever it was called and made his way to Shadow. I was getting nervous about using my sai, since I've never worked with sharp things before. It's always Chica and Toy Chica who handle the knives and the pizza cutters. My thoughts were disturbed when she called my name.

"Bonbon, are you ready?" I nodded, my hands sweating. She guided me to the other side of the stage and began instructing me.

"OK, Bonbon, the first thing you need to do when using sai is to wipe your hands off and wrap them in gauze, so you don't lose your grip on them or let go. Here's the gauze," she handed me a white wrap. I tightened it around my hands and retrieved my sai.

"Now, try to copy what I do." She spun her sai and jabbed. Something clicked in my mind and I copied, but went further, jumping and kicking whilst jabbing the air with my sai.

"Wow, dude. Your skills are extensive. I needn't train you any further. Send over Toy Freddy," she gasped. I walked away, my chest swelling with happiness.

"Toy Freddy, it's your turn," I called. His optics grew wide, and he stumbled to our mentor. I can't wait to kick some ass.
