Water lights and I love you's

James snickered, trying to hide his smirk. "Only you would order something from the kiddy menu." I scoffed and glared at him. Which only made him chuckle "you're adorable. You don't have to actually order that, just pick whatever is above the kids menu then." I huffed "you know what, I feel like Mac N Cheese." I stood my ground and ordered the Mac N Cheese anyways. James laughed and rolled his eyes then pulling a smirk, he kissed my hand.

"You truly are so cute!" I blushed as my lips began to curl upwards. "Whatever" I pulled a fake pouty face. He shook his head "you're such a bad actor. And before you try and deny it here comes our drinks." I rolled my eyes at him, whilst practically inhaling my water. James looked at me, smiling. "Three or four?" I chuckled and looked at him strangely "what?" He shrugged "just pick a number." Confused I just randomly choose four. He nodded and smiled. "Okay" I looked at him expectantly, he avoided my gaze and tried to hide a smirk. I scoffed "it's a surprise isn't it?" He looked over at me and smiled, then tightened his grip around my hand. "Yes. Look at you, you're so smart." He bopped my nose. And I couldn't help it, I ended up laughing. "You're weird. But-I like you." He winked at me and smiled.

Soon, our food came, and James scoffed at my plate of Mac & Cheese. "I still can't believe you ordered that." I wrinkled my nose and stuck my tongue out. "well I'll have you know, I really do enjoy Mac & Cheese." He rolled his eyes and shrugged. We ate our meals in silence. James would sometimes steal some of my food off my plate. I would shoot him a glare, then go to try and snatch some of his food, but he would quickly grab his plate and hide it under the table.

I sat back in my chair and pouted giving him the puppy eye look. He chuckled and smirked mischievously, then scooped up some of his mash potatoes and made airplane sounds as he tried to feed me. I let out a good belly laugh, and shook my head, the biggest smile imprinted on my face. "Did I ever tell you that you're a dork? Cause you are such a dork." He ate the mash potatoes that were still on his fork and smiled at me. "I may be a dork but if I'm your dork then I'm happy." Okay, that was super cheesy. I blushed and rolled my eyes again.

After we finished our meals, James went to go pay the bill. I offered to pay half but he refused. When he came back to the table he offered his arm to me. "You look very beautiful, Alexis." I smiled and stood up, taking his arm. "Thank you, And might I add, You look just dashing." I tried to wink but it felt too awkward so I acted like I was going to wipe my eye instead. James looked down (given the fact that I was shorter then him) at me and chuckled "smooth." I lightly punched his arm. "Shut up." He kissed my forehead and kept walking in time with me. "Where are we going now?"

He smiled and checked his watch "let's see, it's 9:23 now. So that gives us approximately two and a half hours. If we hurry we can do both-" he cut off as if he was just thinking aloud, He grabbed my hand tight and started off into a run. I did my best to keep up with him, but he was evidently faster than me. "James! Where are we going?!" I yelled after to him beginning to feel shortness of breath. He didn't turn to look at me but yelled back "come on, run just a little farther." I nodded and ran, following behind him. We ran until we reach a bright building that stood tall behind a small fountain. He looked at me smiling as we walked towards the build-bear-workshop. "my dad, always wanted to go on all the rides and never really stopped anywhere except to eat or use the restrooms. He was all go, go, go!" James chuckled at the memory but something glazed over his eyes, quickly before he continued his story.

"One time my mom Took me here to build a bear workshop; and we had a blast. And now I get to take my number one girl, to that very same place." He smiled at me and I blushed and smiled back. "That's so sweet, I can't wait." I exclaimed happily. He motioned his head towards the entrance doors. We entered the workshop and I was surprised to see an actual stuffed animal factory. "Wow this place is huge! So what do you do here?" He smiled as he reached into a bin, and pulled out a lion plush skin. "Well you get to create your very own stuffed animal. Just pick one and then we can move on to the next step." I looked at all my choices man, there's so many to choose from! I finally settled on a brown monkey. James smiled at my choice and pulled my hand tell we got to the sound booth. James explained that we would pick a sound that we like for our animal, or we can make our own. then we would move on the stuffing station.

James went and grabbed the make your own sound, then he turned his back to me and said something to the small box, that I couldn't make out because of all the happily screaming kids. He turn back around and smirked "press this button here, I made this recording for you to put in your monkey, if you like. but if you want to put the monkey sound in instead that's okay." I looked at him curiously and pressed the sound box. "I love you Alexis! Mu-ah!" I giggled "that's adorable. Here I'll make one for you too!" I grabbed the make your own sound and whispered into the box "I love you too!" He blushed and thanked me as we switched sound boxes.

He showed me how to put the box in the monkey's hand, before we began to stuff them. We moved on to the stuffing station and listened the crew member speak to the kids in our group about making a wish over the little red plush heart, and holding the heart next to theirs. James grabbed two red hearts and handed one to me as he whispered something to it, then held it close to his chest. I mimicked his actions whispering to my plush heart as well.

We handed our animals to the crew member and the begain the stuffing process. then we put the little hearts into the animal, the cast member then stitched up the stuffed animals then we moved on to bathing & dressing station.

James had his bear dressed and was filling out the adoption papers. I on the other hand was struggling to pick out a cute outfit, there were just so many options! finally once James was had finished the last step of the adoption process he came over and snickered, quietly watching as I took centuries to decide on a outfit for the monkey to wear. I settled on a blue dress, and pretty pink shoes with a white purse. I smiled at James and went over to the adoption station. He helped walk me through the adoption process, then he raced me to the till and paid for the bears on his card. I glared at him "do you plan on paying for everything?" he nodded, picked up the two box homes and went outside, I followed him. he turned to look back at me "I took you on this trip, let me spoil you." I looked at him and nodded "okay. thank you." he smiled and kissed my hand "you're welcome M'lady"

He took my hand again, looked at his watch and handed me one of the box homes, before grabbing my free hand and running off. "come on. If we don't hurry we won't get a good spot!" I ran after him curious where we were going next.

We stopped running once we reached the line to get into the california adventure park. we didn't stand in line for too long and we were able to get a 'good spot' close to a beautiful small lake that was below a roller coaster. The sun had already set so the lights on the roller coaster were lit up. It was truly beautiful. people were all around us and they seemed like they were waiting for something to start, I soon figured out that we were waiting for a show to start. Soon the crowd began to hush, and woman began to sing faintly 'it's a world of colour' holding the 'o' note like a soft echo, he voice rang over the speakers. Slowly her voice was join in a harmony of others singing 'it's a world of colour' as the song played, water fountains over coloured light fixtures played in sync.

I realized I was going to watch a water light show. And we were in the splash zone to the left, not that it minded water never hurt any one. James squeezed my hand and kissed my forehead, I looked up at him and smiled before turning my attention back to the show. It had darkened and then a sound of singing came through the speakers again. "Ah ah ah ah" Soon an image was formed through the water and it appeared to be a mermaid on a rock. Which I learn from the three kids beside me, announcing "Ariel, Ariel, Ariel, Ariel," that she was Ariel from the little mermaid.

The show continued and I knew that if I watched some of these disney movies I would of enjoyed the show way more then I did. And I really loved the show. Once it was over, James took my arm and guided me out through crowds of people. "Come on, they will be closing soon. And we should rest up so we can get to the park early." I nodded and followed him out of the California park.
