“somewhere dark and damp.”

I glared at him “where?”

why was I acting this way? I’m going to get myself in trouble. Larry dragged me across the floor a little further then he open a door to a basement or something. And the next thing I knew, a foot rest itself on my lower back, then it kicked me down into the basement. I tumbled down a flight of stairs till I reached the bottom, the floor was cold and hard.

Larry laughed and shut the door behind him, and I heard the door lock and then the sound of footsteps moving away from the door. I sighed and rubbed my sore back, from my tumble down the stairs. I looked around the dimly lit room, the only light source was from the cellar window way above me. I saw shelves of wine bottles, and I realized I was in a wine cellar. I sighed and grabbed a bottle of wine, not caring about the alcohol or the fact I have never had wine before.

I opened the wine with a tool I found and I sat down and gulped back the red wine. It tasted funny but it had a nice kick to it, I shrugged I have nothing better to do. Just then a light flickered on, and Margret came into the cellar. I rolled my eyes what does she want? Margret looked around the room for a moment before so noticed me, her eyes widened when she saw I was chugging wine. She marched straight over to me in a bee line and snatched the wine from my hands. I glared at her in annoyance, she scowled at me.

“What do you think you were doing?”

I shrugged “I was having a glass of wine. What’s the problem? You never give me anything to drink anyways”

she looked surprised for a moment. “Well you’re not allowed to drink your only 14. It’s illegal and bad for you. And just so you know I was going to ask if you were lactose or not because I was going to give you a glass of milk. But u already helped yourself so forget it.”

I scoffed “oh please, I’m sure you were. And since when do u care if I get sick or not?”

she sighed “because you’re an investment and-”

I was shocked investment?  “INVESTMENT! What is that supposed to mean? You didn’t buy me, you don’t own me!”

she smiled “oh but on the contrary we bought you from the agency when we adopted you. Therefore you are an investment.” I glared at her as she left taking the wine with her and locking the door behind her. I let out a heavy sigh, “stupid Margret and Larry I hate them argh.” I crossed my arms in anger and frustration and I paced around the room, for a while. Then I decided to try the door and for some reason and I couldn’t open it I was locked in.

I sighed out in frustration and sat on the second step from the top; then I heard the door being unlocked, I backed up so the door wouldn’t hit me. Margret stood there staring at me in frustration “move.” She demanded as she shoved me down the stairs, I tumbled once again down the flight of stairs. I groaned in pain and annoyance once I hit the bottom.

Margret walked down the stairs but stopped on the last step just above where I was laying on the ground. She smiled and helped me to my feet.“Go sit over in that corner there” she pointed to a dark corner in the basement, and my eyes followed her finger.

Before I had a chance to say no she spoke again “go there now and sit there quietly and patiently and don’t disobey me or I will get Larry to hurt Zack. And you don’t want that do you?” I sighed and shook my head no, as I walked over to the corner and sat. Patiently. A few mins later Margret came back with tape, rope, handcuffs. I sighed really she's going to tie me up. She nodded as if she read my thoughts.

I just sat in my corner until she called me over to her, I went to her reluctantly. She pulled my arms behind my back, and she cuffed them. Then she took tape and slapped it over my mouth, she stopped for a second ran upstairs and back down again, this time she brought a chair. I sat in the chair knowing she wanted me to, if they weren’t going to hurt zack I would have put up a fight.
