You Can Now Say Your Good-Byes

*CALUM’S POV*

I sat in the waiting room, lost the baby, I’m losing Jess, she’s not responding to anything that the doctors are doing, I called up the boys as soon I arrived at the hospital, and they quickly rushed over. Ashton and I were waiting in the waiting room, Michael and Luke went to go and get some food and water. I wasn’t hungry or thirsty; I just couldn’t take my eyes off of the door to where Jess was.  She has some broken ribs, broken arm and her leg got dislocated, plus she wasn’t responding to anything.

One of the doctors walked out of the room, I quickly stood up, “are you here for Jess Moor?” the doctor asked, I nodded my head, “I’m sorry” I broke down crying Ashton came up behind me, “she is on life support right now, unless if something happens within the next 12 hours, I’m sorry there is nothing we can do, you can go in and see her, say your good-byes” this was impossible. To have such the perfect life, and then the next second for it just to be gone.

“mate” Ashton said rubbing my back, I just turned away and walked out of the building, I couldn’t do it, we were supposed to live happily ever after, like a fairy tale, have a family, what happened?

The other driver left with only a few scratches, but he’s locked away. I kneeled down on the ground, crying, screaming. “Calum” Luke came up behind me, “you might want to see this” I stood up and ran back into Jess’s room, the doctors were around the bed, “what’s going on?” I asked, panicking again, I didn’t get to say goodbye.

*ASHTONS POV*

He was just staring at the door, all night, didn’t turn away from it for a single second. His expression on his face didn’t change as well.

Once the doctors came out of the room, you could tell it wasn’t good news, “I’m sorry” the doctor said, all of this emotion came inside me, so I couldn’t even think about how Calum was feeling, I fell back onto the ground. He had his girl back in his life for just under a year, and this is how it ends.

“Mate” I came up behind him, I didn’t know what to say or what to do, he just stood up and walked out of the building.

*MICHAELS POV*

Out of everyone it had to be Jess, out of everyone! She was, no, she  is my little sister, she made Calum the happiest man alive, you should see the happiness in his eyes when he was around her. Ashton shook his head; Luke dropped the food and ran into the room. Ashton went over and sat back in the seats, I put the drinks on the table, I walked back over to pick up the sandwiches, I heard screaming coming from Jess’s room, I walked over and saw Luke crying next to her bed.

She didn’t deserve this, neither did Calum. Life is so fucked up.

*LUKES POV*

Michael and I were walking back with some coffees and sandwiches when Calum was walking out, “what happened?” I asked Ashton just shook his head walking away; I dropped the food and quickly went into Jess’s room. I had to tell her everything.
