We walk around some more. He showed me the whole hallway and now we are going the opposite hall from us. All the was in our hallway was bedrooms with a bathroom inside. I keep looking at in the walls and seeing all the painting and pictures of what I think is the Rivera family in the past. Huh, it's so weird. They close so similar to Alex and his...... Wait. I stop midway and looked at Alex. He stopped and turned to me. "What's wrong May?"
"Is it true that vampires live forever?" I asked in a very shaky voice. I cough try to get rid of the shaking of my voice.
Alex laughed," yes it is true. All of us live forever. Now anything else about us can be right or wrong just depends on the rank." I shot a confused look at Alex. He laugh again," it's not important right now. I'll tell you another time."
I just shrugged. I'm not going to push. We kept walking through the hall. We went down the stairs and went to the left side. "This is when things gets complex," Alex said. "The first room on the right is meeting room. Left is the ball. Next right is my father's work room." He turned at started to walk backwards. "Just so you know, don't go in there. He is a busy man." He turned back around.
"So, let me guess." I started to walk faster so I'm walking next to him. "Everything on the right is doing something with work or something close to that. And the left is for parties and stuff like that."
Alex smiled, "yep." Alex took a sharp u-turn and started the other way. I just follow with his movements.
When we cross the stairs we went to the other hallway across from where we just were. It was about 10 minutes into it and I haven't seen a door.
"Where are the doors?" I asked still following Alex.
"Almost there," was all he said. We kept walking.
Sorry took so long. I'm getting back into the story
