Marking

BOOM!!

We all ran to the front door the see a man in pure black with a gun in hand and Demon on the ground badly injured but still alive. The man was about to shoot at us until some force stopped him mid way up to aim. I look at Angel whom's eyes are not white, but the solid, pure black that would scare you to death.

"No one hurts my BROTHER!" With that scream the man was slammed into the wall. Angel walked closer to him and I could tell it wasn't going to end well.

Demon I ran over to him and saw that he gun wound was mid chest, but seemed to miss any vital organs. Alex and Arrow came over and the two of them picked up Demon and take him to the medical room in the house. I was about to follow when I heard Angel say my name. I turned.

"Please help my brother. I can't loss him." I saw his eyes turn white that few seconds and back to black. He turn back to the man and left is head. That's when I heard cracks and screams. And I bolted away to Demon, Arrow, and Alex to see if they made it safe.

When I got there Arrow and Alex kicked me out of the room and I was stuck sitting the the hallway. Angel soon came by and went to the room and all I could hear was mumbles. I grow more scared for Demon. I wanted to see if he was alright. I crawled to the door and tried the handle locked. So I sat back down on the floor and waited.

I was in the daze of sleep when I heard the door open. I looked to see Alex in front of me. I bolted up, "is he alright? Can I see him?"

He looked down at me and nodded his head. I got to the door and open it to see Demon sitting up right and a wrap around his chest where the bullet was.

"Demon?" I asked.

He looked up and saw his eyes have a shoot of hope. "May, I'm so glad you are safe." I walked over to him and he held out his arms for a hug. I go into him. A hiss came through like pain. I let go and look at his eyes and smile.

"I should be the one that said you are safe." I laughed and he laughed as well. I look at the wrap, "how long will it take to heal?"

"Few minutes," Angel said. I turned to see him cleaning the tweezers he must used to get the bullet out. "We are fast healers, maybe not as fast as vampires but pretty close to them." He looked up and smile at me. "Don't worry. He'll been fine." He went back to cleaning. "It's a good thing it's just a normal bullet. If it was special it would have killed him." Angel said still looking at the now clean tweezers.

"Special?" I asked.

Angel looked at me confused then a light bulb seems to click on. "Oh, yea. Like silver injured werewolves, sun for vampires, so on." He paused and lean over to me. "You do know we normally hunt others creatures these and more, right?" I nodded. "Good." He smiled and lean back.

"Can we take off the wrap now? It's starting to itch." Demon said. I started to take the wrap off. I saw a marking on his chest. "It's the family marking. We are born with it." I looked up at see Demon looking at me. The mark wasn't odd it was a yang side of the yin yang. "If you haven't connect it yet. Angel has the other side." I looked at Angel and saw that he nodded to the fact.

A ring came through out the house. Then Arrow voice broke through the ring. "I've got it!" He yelled. Where was Arrow this whole time?

After a few minutes, Arrow came into the room. "If it's alright with you May can we take some blood?" I looked at him questioning. "It's to make sure we can take you to the new place." More questions came up.

"Arrow, you are making it more confusing." Alex said as he walks in. "The blood is getting tested to make sure you will be safe. Some blood will attract creatures. So we want to make sure."

"Okay?" I put out my arm. Angel came to it with a needle used to take out blood. He stuck it in my arm and took blood. And then put a bandaid over the hole in my arm.

"Here, who is here to take it?" Angel asked when handing over the shot.

"My older sister, June, she owns the whole side of the area." Arrow replied.

"Dang, I didn't know werewolves are good at rental."

Arrow just looked at Alex and then left.
